Pocket Promo A cards are highly coveted in Pokémon TCG Pocket. In addition to the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions, players can discover Promo A cards during gameplay, but there are specific methods required to add them to your collection. While regular cards can be obtained by opening packs, utilizing Wonder Picks, or redeeming pack points, each Promo A card has its own unique unlocking process.

As it stands, all these exclusive cards are categorized under Promo A, although additional sets are expected to emerge as the game evolves. A notable limitation of this promotional release is that many cards were originally available only during specific events, making it challenging for newcomers to Pokémon TCG Pocket to acquire them. While there is a possibility of these cards reappearing in future events, they are currently not accessible. This guide will detail how each card can be obtained.

Right now, there are 33 Pocket Promo A cards in Pokémon TCGP. If you’ve missed any, the previous list can help you figure out if they’re still obtainable. The first seven cards are items or supporter cards you can buy in the shop for two tokens each. If you already own them, you can always revisit the shop to restock.

Three of the Promo A cards are linked to the paid aspects of Pokémon TCG Pocket, specifically the Premium Pass Subscription. Promo A card number 9, Pikachu, is continually available for players as soon as they register. However, the second card varies. Initially, it was number 10 Mewtwo, but it is now number 25 Moltres ex, meaning Mewtwo is temporarily unavailable.

You can try a free 14-day trial for the Pokémon TCG Pocket Premium Pass. Just remember to cancel before the trial ends, or you will be charged.

The other Promo A cards are obtained through two types of events. The first type is Wonder Pick events, which feature certain cards offered as additional packs you can select from at no cost or for two Wonder Stamina. Currently, there’s an event for Charmander and Squirtle. The issue with these events is that they last only two weeks, so cards you miss won’t be retrievable after that.

The card that has been confirmed but is not yet accessible is number 8, a special Pokédex card.

The second type of event involves solo battles in Pokémon TCG Pocket, where you can potentially receive a random Promo A card for each match you win. This is currently a Blastoise event where five Promo A cards can be won after each victory. Like the others, these events run for two weeks, so any Promo A cards from the previous Venusaur or Lapras ex events are inaccessible if missed.

As fresh cards continue to be introduced, ensure you gather all the available Pocket Promo A cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket while you have the chance to complete your collection.
