In Heartopia, the world is at your fingertips. It takes time and effort to do everything, but there’s no need to rush. This is a relaxing, cozy game you can play at your own speed. Whether you’re on a mobile device or a PC, there’s plenty to enjoy.
We’ll share helpful tips and tricks to get you started in Heartopia. Helping neighbors, exploring the town, and completing quests are all part of the game, and we’ll guide you through them. Here’s what you need to know to begin!
Help Your Neighbors
When you first move into town, you’ll see several lots scattered around the map. Each of these 12 lots belongs to a player who is currently online, including you! That means you’re part of a community where everyone can help each other.
You can water your neighbors’ crops and flowers while they’re out. Doing this can earn you points either as a daily activity or simply as a kind gesture. Spending time with neighbors will earn you Friendship Marks, which improve your friendship level and unlock more ways to interact.
Harvest Everything You Can
You have a full energy bar each day, with several ways to refill it. Use your energy for fishing, gathering items, gardening, and more. Don’t waste it!
Gather fruits and materials across the map for cooking and crafting, which will help you progress. These activities are also a good way to pass time while waiting for crops to grow or other tasks to finish.
Sell Extra Collections for Gold
You’ll likely accumulate extra fish, bugs, and crops. You can keep these for rainy days or sell them for gold. Find Albert Jr. on the map and sell your items to him, then spend the gold in town shops.
Higher quality items sell for more, but sometimes you’ll want to hold onto rare items for other uses. Don’t worry—none of the foraged items spoil, so you can store them safely at home.
Pop Every Prize Bubble
Colorful bubbles appear around town, from the town square to the cliffs near Onsen Mountain. Pop them before anyone else does to find prizes like blueprints, clothing, gold, materials, and wishing star pieces. Sometimes, bubbles contain energy-restoring items, so keep an eye out!
Collect Your Dailies
Every day, townspeople will request help, offering rewards like gold, wishing stars, and contribution medals. Medals boost your guild level, and wishing stars can be used to buy special looks and items.
Don’t forget to check the gacha machine for daily missions. Use any tokens earned—you’ll get extra gold at the end of the season for unspent tokens. Some materials change locations daily, so seek them out with specific quests for crafting new furniture and limited items.
Check Stores Daily
Every day, new items arrive in town shops. Visit daily to find new furniture and clothing. Gathering items to sell and searching for prize bubbles keeps your game fresh. If you’re short on gold or wishing stars, collecting and selling items helps you get back on track and gives you something to look forward to each day.
Use Your Scooter to Get Around
Once you unlock vehicles, your world opens up. Avoid using the bus unless you have a monthly pass or enough gold—use your scooter for quicker travel or when you’re out of energy and need to get home.
You can also take other players’ scooters or vehicles for fun rides, but make sure to adjust your permissions in the settings so you don’t get carjacked. Remember, you can recall your vehicle anytime if someone borrows it.
Take Your Time
The key is to relax and enjoy your pace. There’s no rush—spend your days making friends, growing crops, and fishing. Get to know your neighbors, build your dream home, and enjoy the game at your own speed.
There’s always time to grow your crops and explore, so don’t feel pressured to spend real money. You can live comfortably without premium items, though buying unique vehicles or outfits is perfectly fine if you choose.
Adjust Your Home Permissions
To control who can enter your home or drive your vehicle, go to the settings menu and change your permissions. This way, you can be friendly or keep to yourself, decide whether to share meals, and control your privacy in the community.
Pick Your Hobbies Carefully
Start with gardening, fishing, and cooking. The ingredients from these activities can be used to make tasty dishes that restore your energy, and you can sell these dishes for extra profit.
Later, consider hobbies like catching insects, bird watching, or adopting pets. You can do whatever you prefer in any order, keeping your gameplay fresh and fun.
Change Your Permissions if Needed
If you don’t want others sneaking into your house or borrowing your vehicle, set your permissions in the options. You can choose to be a welcoming neighbor or keep to yourself, sharing meals or not—it’s up to you.
Choose Your Hobbies Wisely
Focus on gathering resources like crops, fish, and materials early on. These are useful for cooking and crafting, which in turn give you energy boosts and higher profits.
Once you’ve got the basics down, explore other hobbies like bug catching, bird watching, or pet adoption. Play at your own pace—there’s always something to do, but no rush.
