In Cookie Run: Kingdom, crystals are the most coveted resource, yet they are often in short supply. These precious gems are used throughout the game, primarily for acquiring cookies and soulstones via the Gacha system to enhance your team’s strength. While you can progress without them, having crystals makes the journey significantly smoother.
Understanding how to gather crystals effectively and knowing the right times and places to use them is essential for team building. Spending all your crystals at once might leave you vulnerable when new cookies are introduced in the arena. So, what’s the best strategy for maximizing your crystal collection and usage?
Where To Earn Crystals In Bulk
Codes And End-Of-Season Rewards
Staying active and participating in events in Cookie Run: Kingdom will help you earn a substantial amount of crystals, especially at the end of specific seasons. Ranking up in the arena gives you an instant reward of a few crystals, with top players receiving up to 40,000 crystals at season’s end. However, this reward is only guaranteed for the top 30 players, so realistically, aiming for the Grandmaster tier can still yield about 30,000 crystals.
You don’t need to exert much effort to accumulate crystals. As long as you participate, even if you finish the season with no trophies, you can still receive 3,000 crystals, which is enough for ten pulls from the Gacha system. While it’s advisable to select strong cookies for your arena team to climb the ranks, grinding isn’t obligatory if it doesn’t interest you.
The same principle applies to other game modes that feature global rankings, including mini-games like Beast Raid, Cookie Alliance, and Guild Battle in CRK. In Guild Battles, your success depends on your guild’s overall performance rather than just your individual skills. Since you receive only three guild battle tickets daily—maxing out at nine—using them wisely can benefit both you and your guild.
Being active generally leads to a steady influx of free crystals. Regular maintenance compensation, along with event rewards sent to your mailbox, can be collected as long as they remain unopened within their validity period. Occasionally, Cookie Run: Kingdom releases codes that can be redeemed for crystals. These codes are infrequent but worth tracking, as they are typically only valid for a limited duration.
How To Farm Free Crystals Quickly
You Can Quickly Collect Crystals In World Exploration
World Exploration is an excellent method for rapidly acquiring small amounts of crystals, particularly if your team is strong enough to achieve three stars on each level in an episode. Successfully completing a level for the first time grants 100 crystals, while achieving three stars allows you to earn another 800. Thus, wrapping up each episode in World Exploration could net you over 3,000 crystals. While you can only claim crystal rewards from each stage once, you can replay them in dark mode or master mode for potentially more benefits.
Completing a level in the Tropical Soda Islands also grants 100 crystals for your first-time success.
In addition, clearing a story such as a World Exploration episode or personal cookie story nets you 300 crystals from the Wizard’s Tower. When I’m looking for a quick crystal boost, I usually check my achievements for easy ones I haven’t completed yet, as many are tied to game progression.
How To Save Up Crystals In Cookie Run: Kingdom
Prioritize Gacha Pulls
Once you accumulate 3,000 crystals, it’s tempting to spend them immediately in the Gacha system. However, if there isn’t a featured Gacha that includes a cookie you want to promote, it’s wise to hold off until the next release, particularly if you’ve maxed out your main cookies. There are numerous ways to obtain cookie cutters that provide free Gacha pulls—if the urge to spend your crystals is strong, consider setting aside enough for a few ten-pulls just in case a valuable cookie is introduced.
Outside the Gacha system, you can also spend crystals on various conveniences, such as resetting timers or replacing crafting materials you currently lack. While these features are convenient, they can quickly drain your crystal supply if you aren’t mindful. It may be tempting to speed things up, but prioritizing Gacha pulls for acquiring powerful cookies or maxing out your existing characters will be more beneficial in the long run.
