In The Outer Worlds 2, you visit many different locations, but the main currency used everywhere is called bits. You need plenty of bits to buy almost anything, so accumulating more is very helpful.
You earn some money naturally by completing quests and playing through the game. Still, you can increase your funds faster by doing certain tasks and selecting specific perks. Here are some effective ways to build your bits quickly.
Loot and Sell Everything with the Right Perks
One simple way to earn more money is to loot all the items you find and sell them later. The game doesn’t limit how much you can carry, so keep collecting items and sell them when you have the opportunity. To maximize this method, focus on acquiring the Treasure Hunter and Wholesale Spender perks.
To unlock the Treasure Hunter perk, you need at least one point in the Observation skill. This perk will give you extra bits every time you loot containers. The Wholesale Spender perk becomes available once you put four points into the Speech skill. With it, you’ll get more money when selling items.
Hack Bounty Terminals
There are several terminals throughout the game that assign bounty jobs. You can accept and complete these jobs for payment. Additionally, if you have the Bit Transfer perk, you can hack these terminals to steal bits for yourself.
To unlock the Bit Transfer perk, you need to already have the Restricted Access perk and two points in the Hack skill. Once you have it, hacking bounty terminals can give you a steady flow of bits without much effort.
Sell Stolen Goods with the Palm Greaser Perk
While exploring, you’ll find loot, but not all items are yours to take. Stealing items can get you into trouble if caught, but with the Palm Greaser perk, stolen goods sell for 20% more.
The perk also lowers bribe costs, helping you save bits. To get this perk, you only need two points in the Speech skill.
Complete the A Sprat To Die For Quest
In Paradise Island, you can pick up the A Sprat To Die For quest from the Forward Operating Base south of the Bridge of the Reverent. Finishing this quest will unlock the Scrabble passive perk.
This perk increases the amount of bits you find in containers by 5%. While it’s not a huge boost, the extra bits accumulate over time, making it a good, steady way to grow your funds.
