In Arc Raiders, you need to gather supplies, fight enemies, and craft items to stay alive on surface level. This means collecting a variety of items that will help you craft gear giving you the upper hand.
One essential item to pick up is Rope. At first, it might seem simple, but it’s actually a crucial component for making the game’s two best traversal tools. Here’s everything you need to know about finding Rope, what it’s used for, and how to get it.
Where to Find Rope
If you’re searching for Rope, keep in mind it’s categorized as a Residential and Commercial item. That means it’s more likely to appear in locations marked with person icons or arrow symbols. Focus your search on places known to have these kinds of items, which will make your farming easier. Recommended locations include:
- Grandioso Apartments, Santa Maria Houses, and Plaza Rosa in Buried City
- Village in The Blue Gate
- Cultural Archives in Stella Montis
Of these, starting in Buried City is highly recommended. The southern part of the map is great for finding Residential or Commercial items, especially around the Grandioso Apartments and Plaza Rosa. Search all cabinets, drawers, and lockers, as these are spots where Rope usually spawns. Also, check all the smaller apartments between the main locations; these often contain useful items.
Note: Be cautious around Plaza Rosa, as you’ll likely encounter enemies like Bastions or Bombardiers roaming the area.
Other good options include the Village in The Blue Gate and the Cultural Archives. The village is packed with two- and three-story buildings that often have containers filled with loot, making it a safe place for solo players since it offers good cover from enemies or rival players.
On the other hand, the Cultural Archives is more dangerous but has a high reward. This location is vast, with many breakable crates, but you’ll likely face Ticks and at least one Shredder while exploring.
How to Buy Rope
If scavenging isn’t your style, you can purchase Rope from vendor Celeste. She sells up to five Ropes per day, each costing 10 Assorted Seeds. This can be a quick way to restock if needed, especially for casual play.
Since Rope is essential for crafting both the Zipline and Snaphook, it’s easy to run out. To stay prepared, consider buying a few pieces each day to keep your supplies topped off. Keep in mind, you need the Snaphook blueprint to craft it, so Rope might not be as important if you haven’t unlocked that yet.
Additional note: You cannot craft Rope or recycle items into Rope, so always pick it up whenever you find it in the wild.
