Redeeming Gift Codes in the Pokémon TCG Pocket App

Mobile games often feature rewards through partnerships, and Pokemon TCG Pocket is no different. However, the app doesn’t clearly explain how to redeem the codes you might receive from purchasing specific products or attending events.

Without any guidance from the game itself, you could be left with codes that you cannot use. Luckily, we’ve taken the time to figure it all out for you, so you can easily claim your rewards in this beloved trading card game. All you need is your code and a reliable internet connection!

What Are Gift Codes?

When you participate in events like conventions, or purchase select items from places like The Pokemon Center or promotions such as the Pokemon TCG Happy Meals at McDonald’s, you might receive a code either on a card or via email. These codes can be exchanged in Pokemon TCG Pocket for items like Pack Hourglasses.

Unlike some other mobile games that allow you to redeem codes directly through the app, Pokemon TCG Pocket requires an external website for code redemption due to Apple’s restrictions against in-app purchases and code entries outside of the App Store. So, you won’t find any input field in the app for your codes.

How To Redeem Gift Codes

To successfully redeem gift codes, you’ll need three key things: the gift code, your Support ID, and a web browser. Just follow these simple steps:

Go to the Pokemon TCG Pocket Gift Page.
Enter your Support ID and the gift code.
Check your in-game gifts to see if your items are there.

It may take a moment for your gift to appear, so if it doesn’t show up right away, wait a few minutes or restart the game to refresh your gift list. After that, claim your gifts from the same screen where you receive your Promo Packs and other rewards.

How To Find Your Support ID

Your Support ID is specific to your account and is easy to find. On the home screen, tap the Menu button in the lower right corner, which is represented by three horizontal lines. Your Support ID will be displayed at the very top of the next screen, just above your username and icon.

If you are using your phone to redeem codes, simply tap the copy icon next to your Support ID to save it to your clipboard.
