Roleplaying as the most ruthless merc in Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t solely about equipping yourself with the best weapons or the most advanced cyberware that your eddies can buy. Sometimes it means slipping off your shoes, kicking back, and zoning out in front of the TV for a bit.
While it may not be the most thrilling part of Cyberpunk 2077 (or its expansion, Phantom Liberty), investing in a few properties can be a smart way to spend your hard-earned cash. Having a couple of homes can be quite handy when you’re evading the authorities, and they can provide some beneficial buffs too. Here’s how to snag yourself some new living spaces in Cyberpunk 2077.
Updated January 5, 2025: Although CD Projekt Red mentioned otherwise, they continue to enhance Cyberpunk 2077, giving players an improved experience in Night City. This guide has been updated to reflect the latest developments in Cyberpunk’s real estate market.
How to Upgrade or Buy an Apartment
Upgrading your current apartment or buying a new one in Cyberpunk 2077 is fairly straightforward. Start by returning to V’s apartment that you receive after completing the game’s brief prologue. Access the computer and click on the EZEstates website located in the bottom right corner. Here, you’ll be able to browse and select from available apartments for purchase.
To claim a new apartment, simply choose one that fits your budget, and if you have enough eddies, it’s yours. Every apartment has access to your stash of in-game items, making it easy to gear up.
Note: You must complete the quest called "Playing for Time" to unlock these new housing options.
You can also personalize V’s original apartment through the EZEstates website. Six different themes are available that alter the colors and patterns on the walls and floors. These modifications are purely cosmetic and don’t change the available amenities.
Apartments Available for Purchase
There are four brand-new apartments up for grabs in Cyberpunk 2077. Each one varies in price, style, vibe, and location. The most affordable option starts at €10,000, while the priciest one costs a whopping €110,000.
All apartments come stocked with a variety of consumables, giving them a lived-in feel. You can expect to find everything from drinks and alcohol to snacks like pizza and hot dogs. Here’s a breakdown of the available apartments, their locations, and their prices:
Apartment Location | Apartment Price |
---|---|
Northside, Watson | €10,000 |
Japantown, Westbrook | €30,000 |
The Glen, Heywood | €80,000 |
Corpo Plaza, City Center | €110,000 |
Kress Street Hideout | Free after completing "Lucretia My Reflection" |
You can find all these apartments on the EZEstates website, but they’re also discoverable by exploring the corresponding neighborhoods.
Tip: If you have a 20 Intelligence, V can hack into the Northside Apartment’s door and claim it without spending a dime.
Apartment Buffs and How to Acquire Them
Apartments offer more than just a place to rest—they provide powerful buffs. These buffs activate by engaging in specific activities within the apartment and last for one hour.
Available buffs include:
Apartment Feature | Effect | Bonus |
---|---|---|
Showering | Provides the Refreshed buff for an hour | 20% increased health regeneration rate and threshold |
Sleeping | Gives you the Rested buff for an hour | 20% increase in skill experience |
Brewing Coffee | Awards the Energized buff for an hour | 25% increase in maximum stamina and 30% better stamina regeneration |
These buffs are free and one of the best reasons to invest in apartments. Make a habit of sleeping, showering, and brewing coffee whenever you’re at home.
Apartment Amenities
Each apartment has its unique charm. They all come equipped with essentials such as a bed, shower, mirror for customizing your look, a wardrobe for outfit changes, and a stash for storing your best gear. However, not every apartment features space for pets, coffee machines, or big-screen TVs. Each amenity offers something different, whether it’s a valuable buff or just a relaxing distraction.
Here’s a summary of amenities available at each apartment:
Feature | V’s Apartment | Northside | Japantown | The Glen | Corpo Plaza | Kress Street Hideout |
