A beloved game from the 1990s is making a comeback in a new collection packed with numerous updates.
QUByte Classics has announced that the Soccer Kid Collection will launch on June 18, 2026, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. This compilation includes two versions of the classic 1990s platformer Soccer Kid, where players control a young hero who uses soccer to overcome obstacles and defeat enemies.
“Step into the shoes of Soccer Kid, a determined hero on a worldwide mission to retrieve the shattered World Cup trophy. Travel from England’s streets to distant corners of the planet in this unique 16-bit platformer, where your soccer ball is the key to survival,” according to the game’s description.
Originally released in 1993 for the Amiga and Super Nintendo, Soccer Kid has been ported multiple times over the years, with the latest versions arriving in 2002 and 2003 for Game Boy Advance and PlayStation 1, respectively.
The Soccer Kid Collection includes both the SNES and MS-DOS versions of the game. It also introduces modern enhancements like save states, visual filters, and a digital gallery showcasing the game’s history.
