Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous – A Guide to Using Custom Portraits

[keyword]

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous offers a rich variety of options for character creation, including the ability to upload custom in-game portraits for your created characters.

This feature is exclusive to PC players, leaving console users without this capability. Although it requires some minor adjustments, you can easily personalize your character’s portrait.

How to add custom portraits in Wrath of the Righteous?

Initiate the Portrait Panel in the character creation interface. You’ll find two options: ‘Default’ and ‘Custom.’ Choose the ‘Custom’ option, then click the ‘+’ icon to create a new folder in the Portraits directory for Pathfinder: WOTR.

Proceed to the following file path:

C:\Users\\AppData\LocalLow\OwlcatGames\Pathfinder\WrathoftheRighteous\Portraits\

Next, establish a new folder within the Portraits directory. You can then copy your portrait images into this folder. Ensure that the image dimensions you wish to upload meet the following requirements:

  • Small: 188 by 244
  • Medium: 332 by 432
  • Full-length: 692 by 1024.

Make sure the images are formatted to match the sizes listed above.

Finally, return to the portrait tab in character creation, select the custom option, and your chosen portrait should appear.

Note that custom portraits are not available on the console versions of the game.

Custom Portrait Sources

You can utilize your own images or gather them from other sources to place in the designated folder. Additionally, portraits downloaded from Pathfinder Kingmaker are also compatible.

To edit your selected portrait, open the PNG files using a program like Paint. Resize the image, then copy and paste it into the previously mentioned folder.

It’s vital not to simply open the default PNG file and overwrite it with your custom image, as this may generate errors and prevent the custom portraits from functioning. Also, consider renaming the file, as incorrect names can lead to issues.

After refreshing the Portraits section under the custom tab in character creation, the new images you added should be available for use in the game.

This covers everything you need to know to add and utilize custom images in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. We hope this guide assists you in obtaining the perfect portraits for enhanced immersion!
