Last week, new information emerged about the upcoming God of War remakes from an unexpected but credible source.
While at Fan Expo in Vancouver, Canada, streamer Fuhpuzy interviewed Christopher Judge, the voice actor for Kratos in the new versions developed by Santa Monica Studio. She inquired about the game, and he unexpectedly revealed some key details.
Judge stated that he will not be voicing Kratos in the remake, as the younger Kratos will be voiced by TC Carson, the original actor who played the character. Carson also appeared during Sony’s State of Play presentation to announce the remakes. Additionally, Judge mentioned that the remakes will introduce a significant amount of “new stuff,” including a revamped “new fighting system” and other enhancements.
A tweet circulating from Synth Potato further sums up Judge’s leaks, noting that the remakes will feature new combat styles, systems, and content. It also confirms that TC Carson will be the sole voice of Kratos in the remakes, and hints that Santa Monica Studio is likely to make another major announcement later this summer.
Judge also suggested that more details about the next God of War game might be revealed soon. He indicated fans can expect to hear about the project “probably in late summer,” pointing toward another announcement during the typical summer conference period.
The remakes will cover the first three God of War titles released in the 2000s, chronicling Kratos’ journey from Spartan warrior to God of War as he seeks revenge against the Greek gods.
