Where to Find the Cathedral of Manus Metyr

You can find the Cathedral of Manus Metyr situated to the east of Bonny Village in the Scadu Altus region. To get to Bonny Village, head to the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace first.

Head east until you encounter a small opening in the ground that leads to a dark tunnel. Use Torrent to safely drop down into the hole and avoid any fall damage. Continue through the tunnels until you come upon a dead end featuring a ladder.

Climb the ladder to enter the Bonny Village area in Shadow of the Erdtree. This location also features the O Mother Gesture, which is essential for accessing the Hinterlands and progressing in Count Ymir’s questline.

From the Site of Grace in Bonny Village, head east. Use Torrent to navigate across two bridges until you arrive at a land filled with vibrant orange leaves. Continue north along the path until you spot Rabbath’s Rise. Ascend through it and follow the road back south to reach a large cathedral at the hill’s center.

You’ve found the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, the residence of Count Ymir and the Mother of Fingers. Enter and speak with Ymir, sitting on her throne, to initiate her questline.

Items and NPCs in the Cathedral of Manus Metyr

Besides being crucial for a specific quest, the Cathedral of Manus Metyr contains unique items waiting to be discovered. Explore the area to find the Greater Potante Cookbook 4 and a Remembrance Duplicating Coffin.

Once inside the Cathedral, engage with Count Ymir. She will provide you with two Finger Ruins Maps and a Necklace full of holes. After you locate both Finger Ruins and ring the bells, come back to this area to receive the third fragment from Ymir.

Additionally, the cathedral features a significant boss encounter and two NPC invasions. After defeating the Mother of Fingers, you will face invasions from Ymir and her servant, Jolan. They will drop unique weapons and armor items exclusive to this area.
