In “Elden Ring,” you can equip up to 80 different Talismans, but at a certain point, you’ll need more slots if you want to carry several at once. You can increase your available slots by finding Talisman Pouches. Collecting these pouches can be quite difficult, even though you get Talismans for completing many activities in the game. However, you will have to go through a tough journey to use multiple Talismans and give your character more benefits.
You can get two Talisman Pouches by defeating the game’s optional bosses, but one of these pouches can be easily missed because it involves talking to an NPC who will disappear if you move too far into the game. It’s a good idea to plan ahead and make sure you don’t miss this item before reaching the later stages of the game.

Defeating Margit The Fell Omen
The first Talisman Pouch, which gives you an extra slot, is obtained after defeating Margit, the Fell Omen. You can find Margit in Stormhill as you head toward Stormveil Castle. This boss provides a major challenge early in the game, so be prepared. If you summon Sorcerer Rogier just before the fog gate, you’ll have a better chance to defeat her. It’s also helpful to use the Lone Wolf Ashes, which are quite strong at this stage. Additionally, you can buy Margit’s Shackle from Patches, which will trap Margit and let you land some easy hits, giving you an advantage.
Once you defeat Margit, you’ll unlock the first extra Talisman slot, giving you an edge as you continue into Stormveil Castle. The next tough fight is with Godrick the Grafted. With some extra help from your new slot and a little patience, you should be able to take him down too.
Finding Finger Reader Enia
The third Talisman slot can be tricky to find because it involves talking to an NPC. However, if you defeat Godfrey, the NPC disappears, and you won’t have another chance to get this pouch later. To avoid missing it, after defeating Godrick, consider fighting one of these bosses instead: Rennala, the Queen of the Full Moon. She’s generally easier early on, while bosses like Mohg, Lord of Blood, and Malenia are best tackled later when you’re levelled and equipped for tough fights.
You need to defeat one of these bosses to acquire an extra Great Rune beyond Godrick’s. After collecting two Great Runes, go to the Roundtable Hold and climb the stairs to find Enia in the corner. Talking to her now will give you the second Talisman Pouch, increasing your slots to three.
Defeating Godfrey The First Elden Lord
The last way to increase your talisman slots is near the end of the game, after you defeat Godfrey, the First Elden Lord. This boss is a tough challenge and appears in Leyndell, the Capital of Ash, after completing “Crumbling Farum Azula.” Beating him grants you the final Talisman Pouch, allowing you to equip four Talismans. This gives you more flexibility to customize your build and switch Talismans based on the boss you’re facing.
