Abductor Virgins, also referred to as Iron Virgins, are a unique class of enemies in Elden Ring, ranging from standard foes to challenging dungeon bosses. Created by the lord of Volcano Manor, these grotesque beings were primarily designed to transport prisoners to Mt. Gelmir.
Spread throughout the Lands Between, facing an Abductor Virgin can be a formidable challenge, regardless of their location. This guide will delve into their backstory and provide strategies to exploit their weaknesses during combat.
Where to Find Abductor Virgins

You can encounter Abductor Virgins throughout the game world, but certain specific locations make them easier to find.
The first Abductor Virgin you’ll likely encounter is located near the area where you battle the Red Wolf of Radagon in the Raya Lucaria Academy. After leaving the Schoolhouse Classroom, head outside.
Stick close to the left wall until you reach the end, where you’ll find the metallic creature wandering around.

The next Abductor Virgin can be found at the bottom level of Raya Lucaria Academy. You might stumble upon it first if you take a leap down from the massive pinwheel inside the academy.

Simply use the pinwheel to drop down. This Iron Abductor is crucial as it will transport you to Volcano Manor early in the game—you can let it catch you and kill you to be taken there.

If you get teleported to Volcano Manor, you will face two Abductor Virgins as a boss duo. These foes will obstruct your passage to Mt. Gelmir, and defeating them is necessary to proceed.

Should you choose the regular route to Mt. Gelmir, anticipate running into several Abductor Virgins battling opponents in an Abandoned Village near Windmill Village.
More Abductor Virgins can be found on the path heading to the Temple of Eiglay. Discover the concealed route in Volcano Manor to reach this area, which leads you to confront Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy.

Iron Virgins can also be encountered in Caria Manor, situated in the northwestern part of Liurnia, leading towards the Three Sisters area, where you will find the Lunar Princess Ranni.
Attacks and Weaknesses of Abductor Virgins
Abductor Virgins wield dual blades attached to their bodies by chains. They can throw these blades at players from a distance and reel them back, dealing additional damage.
They are also capable of performing a spinning attack that can be challenging to block, especially for players with low stamina. Iron Virgins can charge at players with their blades, inflicting Blood Loss.
The most lethal move is their grab attack, wherein two meaty arms emerge from their bodies to snatch players. This can inflict significant damage and may kill you outright if your health is low.
The grab attack is unblockable and can only be dodged. However, this opens an opportunity for you to counterattack since it’s the enemy’s weak point.
Iron Virgins are particularly vulnerable to Lightning damage. Utilizing weapons infused with Lightning or Ancient Dragon spells can significantly simplify the fight. Unfortunately, none of their moves can be parried.
If you’re looking to acquire their weapon, Ghiza’s Wheel, you can obtain it by defeating Inquisitor Ghiza in Volcano Manor.
Loot from Abductor Virgins
When defeated, Abductor Virgins drop varying amounts of runes, which depend on their location and your character build. In the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, they also drop Shadow Realm Runes 2/3.
