The universe of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl presents a more intense and chilling experience, which appeals to both newcomers and seasoned players. Though the game offers minimal hints, it immerses players into a detailed world.
While players are introduced to fundamental gameplay mechanics, one crucial item often overlooked is the flashlight. If you’re unsure how to utilize this device, navigating through the dark sewers during the prologue can become a confusing ordeal.
How to Use the Flashlight
Once the campaign kicks off, you can start using the flashlight right away as you infiltrate the initial compound. Initially, it may not be essential, but when you delve into the sewers, you’ll find the darkness overwhelming.
On PC, simply press the middle mouse button or hold the Tab key to access your inventory wheel and hit E to activate the flashlight attached to your gear. This will help you light up the shadowy corners of the sewers and see important details clearly.
If you’re using an Xbox or other controller, it’s a bit more intricate. You’ll need to press LB (L1) to bring up the weapon wheel, then use the D-pad right to turn on the flashlight without hassle.
Required Resources for Flashlight
Since the flashlight is vital for gameplay from beginning to end in Stalker 2, it’s worth noting that you don’t need any specific items or resources to operate it. In a world filled with dangers and limited supplies, worrying about batteries is the least of your concerns.
This means that the flashlight is an infinite-use item, making exploration much more manageable.
Important Note
Keep in mind that while your flashlight can help you see better, it can also make you more noticeable to enemies. Use it wisely!
