In Path of Exile 2, not all Item Bases hold the same value. Some, like Stellar Amulets, Sapphire Rings, and Heavy Belts, are highly prized in both Solo Self-Found (SSF) and Trade Leagues. This is largely because these Item Bases can be transformed into top-tier uniques such as Astramentis, Dream Fragment, and Headhunter through Orb of Chance gambling.

Astramentis stands out as the most sought-after unique, making Stellar Amulets particularly valuable. This guide covers everything you need to know about Stellar Amulets, how to use the Orb of Chance, and the odds of obtaining an Astramentis.

What Are Stellar Amulets?

There are various Amulet Bases in Path of Exile 2, each offering unique Implicits like Intelligence, Maximum Life, and Increased Mana Regeneration Rate. A Stellar Amulet provides All Attributes, making it a perfect base for crafting. However, its popularity mainly stems from its potential for Orb of Chance gambling.

If you’re buying Stellar Amulets for gambling, make sure to acquire the Normal (white) versions.

How To Obtain Stellar Amulets?

You can easily purchase Stellar Amulets from the Trade Website. Just enter the term, set the Item Rarity to Normal, and select your desired buyout price in Exalted Orb, and hit search. Prices fluctuate based on supply and demand. If you need a bulk amount, feel free to ask the seller if they have more available.

Another method for bulk purchases is through third-party trading Discords like The Forbidden Trove. Keep in mind that sellers may charge a premium for convenience.

If you’re playing in Solo Self-Found mode, you can’t specifically farm Stellar Amulets. Instead, keep running Waystones, and you’ll gradually accumulate them. Even in the Trade League, you can farm Stellar Amulets and sell them in bulk on a trading Discord for a solid profit in Divine Orb.

Orb Of Chance Gamble

When you apply the Orb of Chance to a Normal item, you can achieve one of the following outcomes:

1. It becomes a Magic item.
2. It transforms into a Rare item.
3. It turns into a Unique item.
4. It is completely destroyed.

There are two unique amulets you might obtain:

1. Fixation of Yix
2. Astramentis

While Fixation of Yix has a higher chance of appearing, it’s not as desirable as Astramentis, which, despite its lower chance, is much more sought after.

In general, if you’re not extremely lucky, the chances of hitting an Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are quite slim. There are reports of players not finding a single Astramentis even after using an entire Quad Tab of Stellar Amulets. Ultimately, it comes down to luck.

For most players, we advise selling your Stellar Amulets (Normal) rather than attempting to gamble them. However, if you’re okay with the possibility of losing a few hundred Exalted Orbs, feel free to take the risk.
