Shrimp Game: A Roblox Adventure Inspired by Squid Game

Shrimp Game is a popular Roblox game that draws inspiration from the thrilling South Korean Netflix series, Squid Game. Much like the show, players engage in a variety of challenges, each one designed to eliminate competitors until only one victor remains. Every game has a time limit and mirrors the competition seen in the Netflix series.

For those unfamiliar with the storyline, the games end with the elimination of players who either fail to finish on time or don’t complete the tasks successfully. Currently, Shrimp Game features seven challenges from Squid Game, including Red Light, Green Light, Honeycomb, Glass Stepping Stones, and others, with a few fresh additions.

What Is Shrimp Game All About?

The objective of Shrimp Game is to be the last player standing, ultimately winning in-game currency and experience points (XP) for each challenge completed. Players can earn a maximum of $375,000 in in-game currency, which can then be used to purchase various items in the game’s shop, including cosmetic enhancements like masks and useful perks to gain an advantage. Among the perks available for purchase are “push” and “glass tester.”

The “push” perk lets players push others during Red Light, Green Light, or Glass Stepping Stones. On the other hand, “glass tester” allows players to lie down on the glass bridge to see which panels are safe. This tactic can be particularly beneficial during dangerous games, as players can use it strategically to push others toward elimination.

The First Game

The first challenge players face is Red Light, Green Light. In this game, participants have about two and a half minutes to sprint from one side of the area to the other. They can only move when "green light" is called and the character, Young-Hee, is facing away from them.

However, players should be cautious—some might misuse the in-game voice feature to falsely announce a green light! It’s crucial to only move when "green light" is officially announced. If players hear "red light," they must stop immediately to avoid elimination.

Tip: If you get pushed during Red Light, Green Light, avoid jumping to stand up as that will lead to elimination.

The Second Game

The second round involves Honeycomb, a game made famous in the series where one character licks their cookie to succeed. The aim here is to carve out the given shape without breaking the rest of the cookie. At the start, players choose one of four cookies without knowing which shape they will receive.

Once selected, players must carefully drag a needle around the shape. Straying outside the lines causes the cookie to crack, and if it breaks, the player is eliminated. Successful players will keep their honeycomb shape for future use.

Note: The shapes available are limited to circle, square, triangle, and umbrella—there’s no “Mona Lisa” cookie!

The Third Game

Shrimp Game alternates between two options for the third game: Tug Of War or Mingle. Tug Of War is a well-known game globally, but in Shrimp Game, players are suspended on platforms and can fall if they lose. Players are randomly assigned to teams, and the goal is to pull the opposing team off the platform. Success hinges on timing a slider within a targeted zone.

Mingle, a new addition from Squid Game’s second season, features players standing on a rotating platform while music plays. When the music stops, a number indicating how many players need to enter a room appears. If the room does not meet the requirement, all members will be eliminated!

Tip for Mingle: Stay close to at least one player to ensure you can enter a room together.

The Fourth Game

The fourth challenge is Glass Stepping Stones. Players must jump across a bridge made of glass panels to reach the other side safely. The catch is that players must rely on others to jump first or purchase a “glass tester” to find out which panels are safe to step on.

The best strategy is to let someone else take the risk first or use a tester, as players have a limited time to cross before losing the challenge.

The Final Game

The final challenge is Squid, a classic children’s game from Korea. Here, players who have made it to the last round will engage in a fight to the finish. Victory requires eliminating fellow competitors, and if multiple players remain when time runs out, one will be randomly chosen as the winner.

Tip: If you still have your honeycomb cookie during this final challenge, you can consume it to regain health!

The Secret Game

After the second game, players may also experience a spontaneous challenge called Lights Out. It’s not a structured game but rather a chaotic brawl triggered by alarms. Players are given weapons and can either fight or attempt to avoid conflict. If overwhelmed by combat and eliminated, they’re out of the game. However, surviving the fight allows players to heal by eating their honeycomb cookie.

Tip: Avoid confrontation by keeping your distance from other players and appearing unfriendly!

In essence, Shrimp Game on Roblox offers an exciting combination of competition and strategy, reflecting the suspenseful elements of the original Squid Game series while creating its own unique gaming experience.
