After losing Kina and Cheryl and making a daring escape from prison, you’ve finally arrived at the Vibran Royal Capital, hoping to find a solution to your troubles. But even amidst all this chaos, Leo can’t resist helping the people in the Fantasian Neo Dimension.
In the Capital, you encounter a man in need of assistance. He asks Leo if he could deliver a letter to his friend. Leo agrees, and this simple task turns into a quest that truly gives you an appreciation for the postal system.
Getting Started with the Letter to a Friend Quest
Once you’ve escaped the Coliseum, head to the Vibran Royal Capital as part of your journey towards the Maxi Toy Box. While in the city, you’ll find plenty of side quests, despite the urgent nature of your mission. One of these is the Letter to a Friend quest.
Locate the quest on the city’s lowest level, in the square on the left side. There, you’ll meet an elderly man tucked between a wall and some steps. He will ask you to deliver a letter to his friend. Why he didn’t use the postal service is a mystery. Nevertheless, Leo eagerly takes on the task.
Your only clue? The friend used to be on the Uzra, which means you’ll need to start there. However, you can’t actually proceed with this quest until you complete the Maxi Toy Box and fix the Warp Device.
Finding and Delivering the Letter
Once the Warp Device is repaired, teleport to Central Vence and head to the harbor. Luckily, you won’t need to board the Uzra and interrogate every person onboard, as all guests have already disembarked.
Instead, just a few steps from the city entrance, you’ll find a man kneeling by some crates near the steps. Talk to him, and he will inform you that all former occupants of the Uzra are currently in Vence, and that City Hall is your best bet for locating your next lead.
Unfortunately, you can’t jump straight to the friend’s location, even if you know where he is. You need to follow the trail of information first.
From here, you’ll need to backtrack a bit. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown:
- At City Hall, speak with the receptionist. They’ll point you to the Inn for anyone who might be staying there.
- Head to the Inn across the bridge in Central Vence and speak with a woman sitting down. She will suggest checking out both the Observation Deck and for anyone on a Waterway Tour.
- Go to the top of the Observation Deck at City Hall, and chat with the woman at the edge, who will hint that people enjoy watching gondolas from the bridges.
- Next, move to West Vence and stand on the bridge near the open market. Speak with the man there, who advises you to check out the bar.
- In Sid’s Bar, talk to the patrons to find out that the person you’re looking for left with a local and is likely staying at their home.
Your final destination is a bit ambiguous. You’ll need to go to the isolated house above where the Fortune Teller’s area is in Western Vence. Head to the leftmost area, and shut the floodgate using the valve. After crossing over the now-closed floodgate, enter the house, and you’ll find a man inebriated and an older gentleman seated nearby.
Speak with him to deliver the letter, which turns out to be a message from his friend asking for something back. Despite the tense situation, he gives you a postcard to return to the sender. Now, you’re free to warp back to the Vibran Royal Capital.
The Reward for Delivering the Final Postcard
Now back in the Capital, find the old man who assigned you the quest in the same spot as before. Tell him you’ve delivered the letter and received a postcard in return. Though he doesn’t mention the missing item, that’s not Leo’s concern.
He appreciates your effort and rewards you with an Onyx M, a Mechteria Key, and 5,000 Gold. You should probably focus on rescuing Kina and Cheryl now.
