In addition to the main quests, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle offers a variety of activities to explore in its three expansive areas. Players can discover hidden puzzles, collect books, and engage in side missions. Each area also features underground boxing rings where you can test your fighting skills.
To enter each boxing ring, you’ll need to locate a specific disguise and then defeat three progressively tougher opponents in hand-to-hand combat. Winning each match earns you money and allows you to advance to the next fight. In total, there are nine bouts to conquer across the three rings.
How to Locate the Vatican Boxing Ring
The first boxing ring is located in Vatican City. To access it, go to the left side of the map and exit through a door situated on the edge of the main square.
Afterward, you’ll spot a group of Nazis practicing drills across the way, with their small camp on your right. Move to the left of the drills, and you’ll find an open door on the right.
Enter through that door and head down the stairs. You’ll need to knock on another door at the bottom. If you have the correct fighting disguise, you’ll be granted entry to begin your boxing matches.
To enter the underground boxing ring, you’ll need the Blackshirt disguise. If you already have this disguise, put it on. If not, head to the Nazi washrooms located beneath the balcony in the clerical section of The Vatican, where you first met Gina.
The disguise can be found on a chair in the area below the zipline leading toward Voss’ airship. You can reach this area as you progress through the story missions.
How to Locate the Gizeh Boxing Ring
The second boxing ring can be found in Gizeh. To get there, make your way to the main village in the northeast area of the map. From there, head to the back of the village, up the stairs, and past the main market.
Look for an open door in a blue building. Once inside, knock on the door. If you’re wearing the right disguise, you’ll be allowed entry.
To access the Gizeh boxing ring, you need the Wehrmacht Uniform. Obtain it by progressing through the story until you escape the collapsed cave with Gina. The uniform will be located in a watchtower in that section.
How to Locate the Sukhothai Boxing Ring
The final boxing ring is situated in Sukhothai and is the easiest to find. From the main town in the area, board your boat and gently steer right.
As you travel down the river for a short distance, look for a small dock to your left, complete with a door in front. This is the entrance to the boxing ring; simply knock to gain entry. Ensure you’re wearing the Royal Army disguise.
The Royal Army disguise can be found in the restricted area at the northern part of the map. Make your way to the back of this area and locate the large tent. To its left, there’s a wash area, and the disguise can be found on a table there.
How to Win Boxing Fights
The boxing matches in the game follow a similar pattern, but as you progress, your opponents become tougher with more health. To improve your chances of winning, remember to use the LB button to block and counter whenever your opponent attacks. You can land a maximum of two strikes after a successful counter; any additional punches may lead to you getting hit back.
Don’t forget to heal and pick up bread and fruit around the underground ring between matches. This will boost your health and stamina for the next fight.
