A classic PlayStation exclusive RPG from 2000 is set to be remastered, according to a recent leak. Known in North America as Tales of Destiny II, this Bandai Namco action RPG originally debuted on the PlayStation 1 and was later ported to the PSP in 2006. So far, it hasn’t been released on any other platforms.
Tales of Eternia is getting a remaster, but the question remains: will it come to PS5?
A user on Twitter, Wario64, pointed out that the European rating board PEGI recently listed Tales of Eternia Remastered for the Nintendo Switch. The now-removed listing didn’t mention any other platforms, so an official announcement is awaited to confirm if it will also be released on the PS5.
Considering how Bandai Namco has handled other titles in the Tales series recently, it’s unlikely they’ll restrict this remaster solely to the Switch. We should hear more confirmation soon.
In the PEGI listing, it was described as:
“A role-playing game that follows Reid and his friends, Farah and Keele, as they encounter a mysterious girl named Meredy who speaks an unknown language. Their journey to uncover her origins takes them across a dimensional boundary into a whole new world called Celestia.”
We’ll keep you updated as more details emerge.
