The release time for Battlefield 6 is quickly approaching now that October 10 has arrived, so make sure you’re ready. Those who managed to get physical copies early can already start playing since multiplayer servers are online, but if you pre-ordered the digital version for PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X, you’ll need to wait a bit longer. In the meantime, it’s smart to pre-load the game so it’s ready to go at launch time, and double-check when Battlefield 6 will be available in your area.
Update as of October 16, 2025: Battlefield 6 is now playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app. If you just started playing, you might want to check out some recommended controller settings for a smoother experience. Launching is just the start because Battlefield 6 will get new content every month. Stay updated with the latest in our Battlefield 6 roadmap.
Battlefield 6 Launch Time for PC, PS5, and Xbox:
The game drops at 3 PM UTC on October 10 for all platforms. To know when you can start playing, it’s just a matter of converting that to your local time. Here are the expected start times for some major regions:
- Pacific Time (US): October 10 at 8 AM
- Eastern Time (US): October 10 at 11 AM
- United Kingdom: October 10 at 4 PM
- Central Europe: October 10 at 5 PM
- Australia: October 11 at 2 AM
- New Zealand: October 11 at 4 AM
Keep in mind, the global launch time means you can’t use any time zone tricks or fiddling with clocks to get in early—just be patient! If you pre-load on your platform, you’ll be ready to jump in as soon as it goes live (note: pre-loading isn’t available for Epic Games Store on PC). Also, if you’re playing on PC, make sure to enable Battlefield 6’s Secure Boot feature, as it’s part of the anti-cheat measures.
Expect the initial login to be busy. During the open beta in August, many players faced long queues, so the full launch could be even more crowded. Server traffic might cause some lag or error messages in multiplayer, so don’t be surprised if there are some glitches early on.
While waiting, it’s a good idea to learn about the four Battlefield 6 classes and brush up on how to spot enemies in the game. Staying prepared will help you jump right into the action when it starts!
