Resources in Terra Invicta are the various currencies and materials that your faction needs to operate. While you start with many of them, it’s often unclear where they originate. This confusion increases once you reach space, as new resources appear for different uses. Here’s everything you need to understand about them.

Resources are the different types of currencies and goods your faction manages. These allow you to perform nearly every action in the game. On Earth, your main focus is building income, and expenses are less of a concern. In space, managing costs becomes much more critical.

Without resources, your progress slows down significantly. Since your available time is limited, you don’t want to reach important phases—like Mission completion—without enough resources for your Councilors. Besides the main resources, there are special or rare ones used for specific tasks like powering habitat and space station modules. These are straightforward and are not used across the entire faction, so they’re not covered here.

### Faction Resources
Faction Resources are the primary currencies you’ll handle throughout most of the game. Most of these are generated on Earth, but some can also be gained in space. They are crucial for everything—building structures, transporting items into space, and purchasing organizations to improve your Councilors’ capabilities.

| Resources | What It Is | How To Get | How To Use |
|—————|—————————————————————————-|————————————————————————————————–|——————————————————————————————–|
| Money | The basic currency for buying and paying for things. | Mainly earned from controlling wealth-generating control points and via Councilors. | Used to buy organizations, fund Councilor missions like campaigns, and construction. |
| Influence | Your faction’s popularity, or social capital. | Gained from Councilors and support around the world. The more support, the more influence earned. | Used to purchase some organizations and to fund missions like Purge and Crackdown. |
| Ops | Your covert action capability—successfully hostile actions. | Hardest resource to obtain; mostly from specific Councilors and organizations. | Used in aggressive missions such as coups and assassinations. |
| Boost | Material for bringing supplies from Earth into space. | Generated by organizations, especially through space programs, and increased with prioritized investment. | Needed when building in space; the farther from Earth, the more Boost required. |
| Mission Control | Bandwidth for managing stations and habitat modules in space. | Gains come from national investments; each fully invested priority grants an additional slot. | Consumed whenever constructing space structures; certain structures need multiple slots. |
| Research | Knowledge used for technological progress. | Generated on an ongoing basis; invested in science projects. | Used immediately for projects, with no saving; the more invested, the faster research progresses. |
| Control Point Capacity | The limit of influence a nation can hold through control points. | Increased by upgrading Councilor attributes or certain research. | Tied to space structure control; exceeding capacity increases penalties and makes missions easier for enemies. |

Not all Councilor missions require resources—some simply be the chance of success increases with resource investment.

### Space Resources
Once you build mines on planets and asteroids, new resources become available. These are produced by extracting from celestial bodies and are stored for use in maintaining facilities, constructing new modules, or selling back to Earth. To know what resources a planet has, you must first scan it to see its mineral composition.

Different celestial bodies have varying yields, so choosing the best sites is important. Each planet also has a solar rating that indicates how much solar energy can be generated relative to its distance from the sun.

| Resources | How To Get | How To Use |
|—————|———————————————————|———————————————————————————————-|
| Water | Mainly obtained through mining operations. | Used for keeping staff in habitats and stations operational; involved in nuclear projects. |
| Volatiles | Mostly produced by mining. | Used for staff upkeep and other building functions in space. |
| Base Metal | Acquired through mining. | Used in constructing space modules or sold for money. |
| Noble Metals | Extracted from celestial bodies via mining. | Used for advanced space structures or sold back to Earth. |
| Fissiles | Mined resources for nuclear weapons and propulsion. | Primarily for manufacturing weapons and ship engines. |

Some late-game resources, like Exotics and Antimatter, are gained from alien encounters or specific research projects and are not passively generated.

Clear understanding of these resources and their management is key to expanding your influence both on Earth and in space.
