Since Speranzans are forced to live underground in Arc Raiders to avoid ARC threats, most of their food production also takes place beneath the earth. They grow all their crops inside special greenhouses that don’t need natural sunlight. Sadly, because of the destruction above ground, the variety and number of crops are very limited.
Only the hardiest plants can survive naturally, and few of those that are cultivated in labs have managed to endure the destruction or be replicated. It’s possible that a new source of food or medicine is growing in the Dam Battlegrounds. Lance is looking for a brave Raider to collect a sample so he can test it.
Where To Find The Potentially Poisonous Plant
A new type of plant is part of Lance’s quests. You unlock this quest after completing the previous one given by Apollo, called Building A Library. You must finish this quest in one game session; if you don’t, your progress resets. The target location for this quest is the Dam Battlegrounds.
Head to the swamp area on the western side of the map and go to the Old Battleground zone. Look for the large Baron Husk in the middle of all the debris.
Note: You can break open the Baron Husk’s main body to find loot such as ARC Alloys and ARC Flex Rubber. However, you need to attack it first and then run back quickly, because it will explode and catch fire before you can loot it safely. If caught in the fire, you could take heavy damage.
Near the main part of the Baron’s body, you’ll see some knee-high plants with three red-orange flower clusters on top. The specific plant you need is just beneath the Baron Husk’s body. Interact with the flower to gather a sample for Lance. When you’re ready to turn in the quest, go back to Speranza’s clinic and speak with Lance. As a reward, you’ll get some XP, a Vita Shot, and five Antiseptics, which are used to upgrade your Medical Lab and craft healing items.
