In Heartopia, you can join a neighborhood, design your dream home, and share your hobbies with friends. There’s always something new to do every day, and plenty of resources available for building. However, your home lot has limited space. So, what can you do when your lot is full but you still want to add new decorations?
Here’s the solution: the Private Island! This feature shows up in the late game, but it’s worth the wait. Below is everything you need to know to unlock and explore the Private Island in Heartopia.
How to Unlock the Private Island
Before you can start building on your own island, you need to reach level 30 as D.G. Once you hit this level, open your Town Guide and accept the “Island Usage Application” quest. After that, Mayor Atara will contact you about some nearby islands you can use.
Meet with Mayor Atara and purchase the Island Management Terminal for 100 Wishing Stars. While this costs a lot, it’s a smart investment for the extra building space you’ll gain.
How to Get to the Private Island
Place the Island Management Terminal on your lot, then interact with it to access your new island. Your island will be separate from your main lot, giving you a blank space to build amazing attractions and puzzles.
You can expand the island just like your home lot, and there is a separate load limit. This means you don’t have to worry about overlapping loads and can decorate both your home and your island as much as you want.
The island offers some clear advantages: there are no neighbors around, and your pets won’t interfere. You also don’t need to worry about other players coming onto your island and disturbing your work—unless you leave the terminal out in plain sight.
The open space on the island is perfect for building challenges and roller coasters using pieces you unlock from the research lab. It’s a great place to create a fantastic playground for friends to visit and enjoy together.
