If you’re interested in downloading Redsec, there are a few ways to do it since this free-to-play Battle Royale game is separate from the main Battlefield 6 experience. Here’s what we know about how to download or pre-download it before its official release.
How to get Redsec
Right now, the only way to download or pre-download Redsec is if you already own Battlefield 6. In that case, it was included as part of the Battlefield 6 update 1.1.1.0 (more details are available on the Battlefield 6 roadmap). This update added all of Season 1’s content, including Redsec, to the main game before its official launch. If you own Battlefield 6, you can check the settings menu under System > Set up > Install/Uninstall for a list of downloads. The base game is about 8.4 GB, plus an additional 28 GB for high-resolution textures.
Since Redsec is a free game, it will also be available separately from Battlefield 6 outside of the main game. Currently, there are no separate download options for PC, PlayStation, or Xbox, but it will be available on these platforms once the game officially launches. The release time is set for 8:00 AM PDT, 11:00 AM EDT, or 4:00 PM Central European Time. When it becomes live, you’ll be able to find and download it through the usual online stores.
