There is a lot to do in Mistria as you rebuild the town. From peaceful ranching to exploring deeper into the mines, you’ll find yourself busy trying to gather everything available. Luckily, there’s a simpler way to attract those annoying bugs and fish.

Using a terrarium, you can easily make bugs and fish come to you. Here’s what you need to know about unlocking this device, how to craft more, and how to use it to create bug pheromones and fish bait for your own use in Fields of Mistria.

How to Unlock Terrariums

As your town’s reputation grows, you’ll receive a letter from Luc about a new project. Meet him at the Inn to find out that the capital is willing to give Mistria permission to use terrariums if you can meet certain requirements.

Luc can handle most of it, but since he’s just a kid, he’s asking for your help. All you need to do is collect and ship 20 bugs of any rarity. It’s best to focus on common bugs first and save the rare and elusive ones for later.

Once you’ve shipped the 20 bugs, talk to Adeline to receive your first terrarium and the blueprint to craft more.

How to Craft Terrariums

Once you learn the recipe, you can craft as many terrariums as you want. You’ll need to reach woodcrafting level 10 and gather these materials:

25 pieces of wood
5 pieces of glass
5 pieces of sod
4 iron ingots

These terrariums can be placed outside your farmhouse to gradually produce bug pheromones and fish bait. Keep in mind, the item you’ll get from them will be random each time.

How to Get Bug Pheromones and Fish Bait

The only reliable way to get bug pheromones is by placing four bugs into a terrarium. Every three days, you’ll be able to collect what’s inside for your use.

Bug pheromones allow you to instantly summon bugs of the same rarity as the pheromones used, making it easier to collect them all. Fish bait works similarly, spawning specific types of fish based on their rarity. However, obtaining these resources isn’t free; you’ll need to gift bugs items like a Morel Mushroom or other favors in exchange for the serum.
