How to Complete the Tomb of Perdition in Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert is a large open-world action-adventure game where you play as a mercenary named Kliff, trying to reunite his clan after a severe defeat. During your journey, you’ll encounter various enemies, find hidden treasures across the world, and complete missions for citizens in need.

A key location you’ll visit often is the Abyss. It consists of floating island chains filled with puzzles that you need to solve. One such island is the Tomb of Perdition, which you come across after finishing the Spire of Frost in Pailune. Here’s how to solve the puzzle and what rewards you get.

### Tomb of Perdition Solution

When you arrive at the Tomb of Perdition, cross the moving platforms until you reach the Abyss Gate. Stepping on it will create a quick travel point. Look at the cage nearby—climb onto its roof and turn to your right. You will see a treasure chest embedded in the wall containing a Surge III Abyss Gear and a Faded Abyss Artifact.

Go back to the Abyss Gate and use your Axiom Force on the yellow switch below the cage. This will rotate the cage and open a path on your left. Enter the cage and proceed into the adjacent room. Inside, you’ll find a floating square Abyss Core on the ground.

Using your Axiom Force, pick up the core and bring it outside to the switch. Activate the switch a second time to rotate the cage and open access to the right-side room. Drag the Abyss Core into the slot inside this room.

> Don’t worry about the other switches in the side rooms or the cage itself; they’re just there in case you get stuck. The only switch that matters is the one below the Abyss Gate.

Next, take the two rectangular Abyss Cores outside the chamber. Place one of them into a slot in the left chamber, which you can find along the wall that’s illuminated by a beam of light—it can be easy to overlook, so use the reference photo if needed.

After placing the core, exit the chamber and bring the remaining rectangular Abyss Core to the top of the cage. Climb onto the cage and locate a slot between the circular switch on the ground and the altar. Insert the Abyss Core into this slot to power up the circular switch fully.

Finally, crouch near the circular switch and perform a Force Palm strike to complete the puzzle. Doing this will spawn an Abyss Artifact at the altar, which you can collect. To continue exploring the island chain, head back to the switch area and look to your right—you’ll see a triangular gate leading to an active podium. Use your Axiom Force to grab it and open a new path for your journey.
