How to Complete the Path of Serpents in Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert is packed with hidden secrets that reward those willing to go beyond the main story. You can find hidden bosses, treasure chests, and various puzzles scattered throughout the world, making exploration very rewarding, although often dangerous.

One of the more complex puzzles involves the floating islands in the Abyss. Later in your journey, you’ll visit the Path of Serpents island, which presents a tricky challenge if you’re unfamiliar with what to do. Here’s a guide to solve the Path of Serpents puzzle and what you’ll earn by completing it.

Path of Serpents Solution

Your task in this puzzle is to reroute the energy by rearranging the movable tiles on the floor until the power reaches the conduits on both sides. You do this by grabbing these tiles using the Axiom Force ability and rotating them to guide the energy flow. The energy path can be previewed with your Blinding Flash ability, which highlights the routes in yellow. Active paths glow blue. The puzzle features five columns, each with five tiles, but only a few need to be moved to complete it. For best visibility, tackle this puzzle at night since the energy paths are easier to see when active.

Column Labeling and Approach

Think of the columns from left to right as Column 1 through Column 5. In the visual guide below, the tiles you’ll manipulate are numbered in the order you’ll interact with them, making it easier to follow along.

Start with the bottom tile in Column 3. Rotate it to connect the power to the bottom conduit and direct it to Column 4.
Move up to Column 4 and rotate the second tile from the top, guiding the power upward.
Next, turn the top tile in Column 4 so the T-shaped path directs power to both Columns 3 and 5.
To connect the left side, go back to Column 3. Rotate the second tile from the bottom so it directs energy toward Column 2.
Finally, pick the middle tile in Column 1 and rotate it until the power flows from the bottom into the right conduit and completes the circuit.

Once the energy flows successfully through both conduits, the large circular switch in the laser room ahead will activate. Approach the laser grid, walk under the first two rows of beams, then hop over the last laser. Climb onto the switch, hold onto it with the Left Trigger, and use a Force Palm attack to activate it.

This action completes that section of the puzzle, restoring power and opening access to the area ahead. Climb to the altar on the upper floor to claim an Abyss Artifact. There are also several Shineberries near the altar on both sides, which are important for crafting. To continue exploring, head to the triangular gate on a floating platform connected by large roots located to the left of the altar.
