Crimson Desert is full of hidden secrets, puzzles, bosses, weapons, and surprises that you can discover if you explore beyond the main path. From solving intricate puzzles on floating islands in the Abyss to unlocking fast travel points after completing certain challenges, there are plenty of brain-teasers Kliff needs to figure out.
One of these puzzles is located at Bowsprit Cape. Its design is simple, but figuring out how to solve it can be tricky if you don’t know where to look. Here’s how to solve the Bowsprit Cape puzzle in Crimson Desert.
### Bowsprit Cape Puzzle Location
To reach the Bowsprit Cape puzzle, you have two options. The first is to progress through the main story, completing the Six Statues and the Beast Quest in Chapter 9. After finishing the Ascetic’s Rest puzzle, a triangle gate unlocks, leading to a teleporter. Instead of sending you to another island, it transports you directly to Bowsprit Cape.
Alternatively, you can head south of Demeniss to find Bowsprit Cape on the peninsula near the Bay of Abundance. Look for a large, broken elevator lying on the ground at an angle. This is the key area where the puzzle is located.
### Bowsprit Cape Puzzle Solution
To solve the puzzle, you need to restore power to the elevator using four Abyss Cores. First, enter the elevator through a hole in the roof, then use your Axiom Force to move two floating rectangular Abyss Cores inside the room. Place each core into any of the three slots on the floor.
Next, exit the elevator through the roof and look south. Floating a few feet above the elevator is the third rectangular Abyss Core. Use your Axiom Force to grab this core and guide it back into the elevator, fitting it into the last rectangular slot.
The final step involves finding a square-shaped Abyss Core, which is easy to overlook because it’s not inside the elevator or nearby caves. Tilt your camera up and look toward the sky. The square Abyss Core floats in the air, often hard to see, especially at night.
### How to Retrieve the Square Abyss Core
Climb onto the cliff beside the elevator and perform a triple jump to reach a higher spot. Activate your glide and fly over to where the floating Abyss Core is. When close enough, use your Axiom Force to grab the core and drag it down as you descend.
Bring the core into the elevator and slam it into the remaining slot to power the machine. Once activated, the elevator will start to ascend. Stay inside the elevator—don’t climb onto its roof—because the elevator will rotate as it rises into the sky. Be careful not to fall through the openings while it spins.
Eventually, the elevator will stop abruptly, causing a square Abyss Core to dislodge. Approach the core and use your Axiom Force to return it to its slot, powering up the elevator again, and continue your ascent into the Abyss.
Keep avoiding the holes in the walls as the elevator moves until it reaches the Path of Serpents Abyss Island. Completing this process unlocks more floating islands in the Eternal Corridor chain, granting access to new areas and secrets.
