As you approach Crow in MIO: Memories in Orbit, you’ll notice the fight is all about vertical movement and keeping steady. This third boss battle pushes your ability to follow quick teleports and remain calm, especially as the arena shifts around you. Instead of focusing on heavy damage, the key is knowing when to strike instead of chasing after her.
The arena itself becomes part of the challenge. It’s best to stay near the center rather than hugging the edges, as that gives you a better chance to dodge attacks and find safe spots. If earlier bosses taught you how to move and slow down when needed, Crow combines those lessons into a fast-paced fight that sets the tone for the rest of your journey deeper into the Vessel.
### How to Defeat Crow
Crow is a swift, highly mobile boss who mainly attacks from the air and teleports around the arena. This fight tests your skill at tracking her movements and recognizing safe moments to strike after she evades your attacks.
#### Crow’s Moves and How to Avoid Them
| Move | What It Does | How to Avoid It |
|—————————-|—————————————————————————-|———————————————————————-|
| Giant Swoop Attack | Crow teleports, jumps into the air, then swoops across the arena before landing. | Move toward Crow before the swoop starts to stay safe underneath. After she lands, step in and attack during her recovery. |
| Diagonal Projectile Throw | Crow teleports into the air and throws diagonal projectiles aimed at your position. | Stay at the far left or right edges of the arena to let the projectiles pass, or jump up to dodge them. You can also shoot back at the projectiles to destroy them. |
| Downward Diagonal Strike Kickoff | Crow teleports close, strikes diagonally downward, then kicks off horizontally. | Move behind Crow during her attack and hit her from the back while she transitions out of it. |
| Vertical Drop Strike | Crow teleport above you and drops straight down with a powerful strike. | Step slightly left or right as she drops and counterattack once she recovers on the ground. |
During the fight, Crow becomes stationary and floats in place while water begins to fill the arena from both sides, reducing your available space. While she’s frozen in place, land a few hits.
It’s important to stay close during this part and focus on quick strikes, as staying near the edges risks being pushed into the water. Throughout the shrinking arena, Crow keeps using the same attacks.
To beat Crow, focus on anticipating her moves rather than reacting blindly. Resist the temptation to chase her across the arena. Many of her attacks come with short windows for counterattacks, so staying calm and patient allows you to punish her mobility-based attacks even as the space gets tighter.
