How to Achieve 3 Stars on Season 2 Week 5 Trials in Arc Raiders

Another week brings new Trials in Arc Raiders. Since the Cold Snap event has ended, this week’s focus is mainly on dealing damage to and destroying various types of ARC.

If you earn three stars on a Trial, you’ll always get a guaranteed Epic-tier item. I suggest aiming for three stars on every Trial this week, as only one is particularly challenging. To maximize your chances, try to do your Trials during double XP events like Night Raid or the Hidden Bunker, as this halves the effort needed to achieve three stars.

### Damage Queens or Matriarchs Trial
Let’s start with the most difficult Trial, which requires inflicting enough damage on a Queen or Matriarch to earn three stars. Since everyone will likely be fighting the same big robot, your goal is to burst damage it quickly to hurt it the most.

Using weapons like the Hullcracker, Equalizer, Wolfpack Grenades, or Jupiter is recommended for high damage against this ARC enemy. Mounting one in your Snaphook and placing a Deadline Mine on it is another good strategy to deal a lot of damage and earn points. If you’re low on resources, try at least a Heavy ammo weapon like Anvil or Bettina, but hitting the three-star threshold might be tough.

Remember, the weak spots are the joints on its legs and the large, red cores in the main body. You can reach the core by blowing off the front panels. Keep an eye on your Logbook to monitor your damage progress during the fight to see if you can hit three stars in your current run.

### Search First Wave Husks Trial
For this Trial, you need to search through the remains of defeated ARC husks, which can only be opened by breaching them. These husks come in three sizes: small (about the size of a Hornet), medium (a dead Rocketeer), and large (Barons that shoot fire once breached). You don’t need to breach them yourself; just searching inside for loot counts toward your progress.

This can be done on most maps except Stella Montis. The best location is the Blue Gate, especially on the east side of the map around Ancient Fort, Broken Earth, Maintenance Bunker, and Ridgeline. There’s a high concentration of small and medium husks here, making it easy to reach three stars just by looting them. If you’re still short on points, head over to Barren Clearing for more husks to search.

### Damage Flying ARC Enemies Trial
In this Trial, you need to damage and destroy flying ARC enemies, which include:

– Snitches
– Hornets
– Wasps
– Rocketeers
– Surveyors

Focusing on Rocketeers yields the most progress, with fully destroying two enough for three stars. However, if you lack weapons like Wolfpack grenades or a Hullcracker, it might be safer to aim for knocking down Snitches, Hornets, and Wasps instead.

Weapons such as the Renegade, Ferro, and Anvil are effective due to their damage and range. Seeker Grenades also work well for damaging multiple enemies quickly, especially if you have about ten of them for taking down Rocketeers.

A good map for this is Spaceport, where you can perch on the roofs of the Departure or Arrival Buildings and shoot at the flying ARC without much risk of being ambushed by Raiders, thanks to the limited access points.

### Deal Damage To Shredders Trial
This Trial is exclusive to Stella Montis. You’ll need to kill three Shredders to earn three stars. Their speed, mobility, and explosive damage make them tough opponents, especially if you’re unprepared.

The best approach involves using Heavy ammo weapons like the Anvil and equipping Snap Blast Grenades or Light Impact Grenades. To kill a Shredder quickly, throw three Snap Blast Grenades before they see you—detonating all at once will kill them instantly. Alternatively, five Light Impact Grenades directly at their base should either kill or significantly weaken them.

Key locations to find Shredders are Medical, Cultural Archives, Atrium, and Sandlot. Medical generally has around three Shredders roaming around, making it an ideal starting point. Be cautious around the Ticks in Cultural Archives.

—

### Open ARC Probes Trial
This Trial involves finding and searching three ARC Probes in a single run. It’s simpler than it sounds—whether a probe has crashed or landed successfully doesn’t matter, as long as you search it for progress.

The best maps for this are Spaceport and The Blue Gate, owing to their large open areas that make spotting smoke plumes from crashed probes easier. Listen for beeping sounds, which indicate nearby probes.

If you’re having trouble during a double XP event, you can do this challenge in the Prospecting Probe map event. This increases the number of probes from three to six, but the frequent appearances of probes during the event make it faster overall, even if it takes longer to search through more of them.
