The latest update for Destiny 2 brings a fresh twist to the Crucible with an exciting new 3v3 playlist centered around vehicle battles. Called Heavy Metal, this playlist features Drake tanks clashing with Brig mechs in an expansive combat arena on Europa. Take down your enemies, collect their tokens, and secure your victory to earn new rewards.
If you complete the event pass, you’ll be on your way to earning the title associated with this event. Finishing the Heavy Metal challenges doesn’t take too long if you dedicate a few hours to the new playlist and tackle some Daily Challenges. Below are the four Triumphs needed to obtain the Heavy Metal title.
Vehicle Compactor
Eliminate target vehicles.
This challenge tasks you with
Kill Streak
Eliminate multiple targets without dying 20 times.
For the Kill Streak challenge, you need to track your kills without dying. Secure at least two kills in one life for a total of 20 times. If you manage to achieve more kills in a single life, those will also count. Staying alive is vital for this challenge. Always stay close to cover and collect any dropping tokens, as they’re your sole means of healing in this playlist. If you’re outnumbered, remember that you have a dodge button to evade incoming fire.
The Undefeated
Win 10 Heavy Metal games.
The Undefeated challenge requires you to win ten matches in Heavy Metal during the event. Playing cautiously is key. If possible, gather a pre-made team to coordinate your efforts throughout the match. Teaming up makes securing kills much easier.
I Get What I Want
Complete the Event Track from the Event Home.
The Event Track features the Battle Pass reward system that you can access on the Heavy Metal event page. Look for it under the “Quests” tab in the Heavy Metal section. To progress through the reward track, you simply need to participate in Heavy Metal matches and complete event-specific challenges.
For optimal progression, focus on completing Daily Challenges. Finish all three, use any remaining Reroll Chips for new challenges, and repeat the process. If you’re able to complete the Weekly Challenge along the way, you’ll swiftly finish the Event Track before the event concludes.
