Comprehensive Guide to Ivy in Fire Emblem Engage

[keyword]

Ivy is one of the eight characters from the Elusia realm in Fire Emblem Engage. As the daughter of the King of Elusia, Ivy becomes a pivotal ally. To recruit her, you need to progress to Chapter 11: Retreat, where she will join Alear and their companions for the critical battle near this chapter’s conclusion.

Upon her joining, her loyal retainers, Zelkov and Kagetsu, will also become part of your team.

How to recruit Ivy in Fire Emblem Engage?

Your first encounter with Ivy occurs in Chapter 9: A Clash of Forces in FE Engage. This meeting takes place just after you engage with the two princes, Diamant and Alcryst, as you make your way to Brodia. This initial encounter is not friendly, as you will battle against Ivy and her retainers.

If you emerge victorious against Ivy and her retainers, the Divine Dragon will step in to spare her life.

Later in the storyline, during the challenging battle in Chapter 11: Retreat, Ivy will propose forming an alliance with you, allowing you to recruit her into your ranks.

Following Ivy’s recruitment, her retainers, Kagetsu and Zelkov, will also join your team. The three characters will be waiting for you back at Somniel and will be available in your party.

Ivy stats

As a Wing Tamer, Ivy’s strength stats are slightly lacking. Her luck isn’t remarkable either, but it is a potential area for improvement. Here are Ivy’s base stats:

  • HP: 32
  • Strength: 7
  • Magic: 17
  • Dexterity: 15
  • Speed: 14
  • Luck: 4
  • Defense: 15
  • Resistance: 16

Ivy shines when played according to her strengths, a common tactic for every character in FE Engage, but particularly beneficial for Ivy. Below are Ivy’s maximum stats she can reach through leveling:

  • HP: 52
  • Strength: 25
  • Magic: 30
  • Dexterity: 25
  • Speed: 40
  • Luck: 15
  • Defense: 30
  • Resistance: 35

Best class for Ivy

Ivy begins her journey as a Wing Tamer, and her Tier Rating stands at S. Her primary weapon is a tome, making the Lindwurm class an excellent fit for her, as it grants additional damage when attacking with a tome.

You can develop a romantic relationship with Ivy in Fire Emblem Engage.

The Sage class is another solid option for Ivy, guiding her towards a supportive role. As a Sage, she gains a damage boost that scales based on the number of allies using tomes. Both the Lindwurm and Sage classes require a master seal to access, as they are advanced classes.

Best Skills

Ivy’s Personal Skill is called Single-Minded. When engaging an enemy unit that was the last target of Ivy, she gains +20 Hit Points. This skill proves extremely effective when one unit is consistently targeted.

Personal skills are unique to each character and will remain with Ivy even if her class changes. To maximize Ivy’s efficacy in Fire Emblem Engage, equip her with the following skills:

  • Grasping Void
  • Speed +3
  • Mentorship
  • Alacrity
  • Speedtaker
  • Call Doubles
  • Astra Storm

Best Emblems

The most effective Emblems for Ivy are Micaiah and Celica, both of whom excel at support. Celica uses magic to empower her allies, and her toolkit emphasizes counterplay, benefiting from ranged moves perfect for controlling the enemy’s positioning. Furthermore, her use of a tome enhances Ivy’s damage output significantly when utilizing the Sage or Lindwurm classes.

Micaiah serves as another supportive option, focusing more on healing rather than buffing stats. Her healing abilities have considerable reach, keeping her safe while effectively aiding her teammates.

Best Gifts

In FE Engage, gifts serve as a means to strengthen your bond with characters. Each character has specific gifts they prefer. Presenting these gifts can enhance your relationship significantly.

Here is a list of Ivy’s favorite gifts in FE Engage:

  • Landscape Art
  • White Clover
  • Tea Leaves
  • Spirit Gem
  • Fairy-Tale Books
  • Poetry Books
  • Philosophy Books
  • Elyos History
  • Fine Quill Pen
  • Dragon Scripture

Presenting these gifts to Ivy will yield the maximum relationship improvement benefits. Other gifts (excluding Horse Manure) will also enhance your rapport, but sticking to this list is recommended for optimal results.
