The Paper Chase mission in FBC: Firebreak is the second job in the game. While the goal might seem straightforward, your team can find itself in a tough spot if you’re not attentive. The mission involves eliminating countless sticky notes in a chaotic part of the Oldest House, but traditional weapons won’t be very helpful for this task.
You’ll need to cleverly use your FBC Firebreak Crisis Kits to tackle the sticky notes while also keeping your teammates safe from Shufflers—creepy, humanoid enemies made entirely of sticky notes. If you’re aiming to finish the Paper Chase mission successfully, here’s how to clear the sticky notes and take down Sticky Ricky.
How to Eliminate Sticky Notes in FBC: Firebreak
There are multiple ways to clear sticky notes in FBC: Firebreak, but some strategies are far more effective than others. Shooting or attacking these piles with melee moves won’t lead to substantial progress.
Your team’s Crisis Kits are the most useful tools for cleaning up sticky notes. The Splash Kit is particularly good at washing them away, and it can even clear sticky notes off your teammates. Firebreakers equipped with Repair and Jump Kits should focus on keeping the energy flowing and charging environmental weapons like BOOMboxes to eliminate sticky notes while fending off the Hiss creatures.
Shooting Shufflers will reward you with a good amount of sticky notes, so try to take out as many of them as you can. They can be taken down easily with regular gunfire, but they pose less of a threat when drenched. If you have explosives, they are perfect for wiping out Shufflers and clearing large areas of sticky notes.
If you find yourself overwhelmed by sticky notes, you’ll lose a life. Stay close to a teammate with a Splash Kit or find a shower to rinse them off before your screen fills up. Just stepping on a pile can worsen your situation, so tread carefully as you navigate through the office.
How to Defeat Sticky Ricky in FBC: Firebreak
Threshold Entity 14-N, known as Sticky Ricky, serves as the final boss of the Paper Chase mission. Conventional weapons are not very effective against this enormous mass of sticky notes, so it’s important to use the environment to inflict real damage.
To take down Sticky Ricky, coordinate with your team to repair the water and electrical systems surrounding him. Having a Fix Kit and Jump Kit can simplify the process, so make sure your team is prepared.
Once the plumbing is fixed and the generators are active, pull the nearest switch to drench Sticky Ricky and then zap him with electrical damage. He becomes vulnerable when electricity flows through him, so unleash your firepower during this window.
Watch your footing to avoid falling into the pit with Sticky Ricky, and be cautious of sticky note build-up. Also, be on guard for his large sticky note spray attack. While he covers most of the arena, you can easily dodge it by backing up until it passes.
Repeat this strategy several times, and you’ll successfully defeat him. Once the boss is taken care of, head to the elevator for extraction.
