PS5 users will soon have the opportunity to try an upcoming first-party exclusive action game for free. Horizon Hunters Gathering is an engaging cooperative spin-off from the well-known Guerrilla Games series, set to launch on PS5 and PC sometime in the future.
Sony has announced a second public playtest for Horizon Hunters Gathering, scheduled from May 22-25. Registration is only available through the PlayStation Beta Program, regardless of which platform you’re using.

– A playable Episode: These episodes are integral to the story, revealing new mysteries, characters, and mechanics. Choose your Hunter, gear up, and venture into the wilderness to protect Ashwater Valley from a machine invasion.
– Increased difficulty levels: Two familiar game modes return but with added challenges—Machine Incursion and Cauldron Descent. Machine Incursion now features new Hard and Merciless difficulty options. For Cauldron Descent, players will explore a new region called Breakers’ Bounty—a dense jungle with ruined structures and a scorching desert inhabited by dangerous machines. The goal is to save the Oseram and halt the incursion. Players will also still have access to Devil’s Thirst and the Gathering, the central social hub for meeting others, customizing gear, and building camps.
– Customization and training: Training Modules have been introduced to help players better understand the game systems. Solo players aiming to hone their skills can utilize Hunter NPCs during Episode or Machine Incursion modes for support. These NPCs—Rem, Sun, or Axle—can aid in battle or automatically fill team spots for three-player missions.
