Locating Shogun’s Arena in Fortnite can be quite a challenge since it doesn’t show up right at the start of each match. Instead, it manifests as a group of islands floating in the air after some time has elapsed, emerging from a rift in an unpredictable spot high above the ground. This area features the tough Shogun X boss battle and some top-tier loot, but many players are primarily interested in it for a specific quest that requires dealing damage to opponents within Shogun’s Arena. Fortunately, it’s fairly easy to accomplish that once you’re in the correct area. Here’s a guide to finding Fortnite’s Shogun’s Arena and how to damage opponents once you’re there.
How to Locate Shogun’s Arena in Fortnite
Unlike the fixed Points of Interest (POIs) on the island, the location of Shogun’s Arena changes each match, making it unpredictable. Additionally, you can’t head there right away; you’ll need to wait until around the fourth Storm circle begins to close for Shogun’s Arena to appear from a rift above. At this point, a red marker will show up in the sky indicating the rift’s location. Once the arena spawns, you’ll see it marked on your map as a cluster of red islands, along with an icon for the boss, Shogun X. Make your way to that area and utilize one of the Air Sprites below to launch yourself up to the floating islands.
How to Inflict Damage on Opponents in Shogun’s Arena
Once you’ve reached the floating island, the next step is to find someone to battle. If other players have also landed there, you can engage them as usual to complete the damage requirement for your quest. However, it’s much simpler to attack the wandering Shogun X boss, as damaging him will also count for the quest. Ideally, use a ranged weapon to deal damage from a distance to quickly reach the goal of 300 damage. Keep in mind, once Shogun X notices you, he will start teleporting towards you and launching powerful attacks. After completing your damage goal, you can either stay for the tough fight or make a quick exit.
