Fortnite is set to welcome back helicopters, allowing players to soar through the skies while perhaps blasting “Ride of the Valkyries” from a loudspeaker. The return of Choppas is an exciting highlight of the Chapter 2 Remix season, although they haven’t yet made their way back to the island. Here’s what we currently know about helicopters in Fortnite and when players can expect to see these flying machines again.
Where to Find Fortnite Helicopters
While we know helicopters are confirmed to return in Fortnite, the timing and specific locations for their reappearance remain unclear. According to the official announcement, we’ll be able to “take to the skies when Choppas come back later in the Season!” Since this season runs for only a month, we won’t have to wait too long to take flight. How to Operate Fortnite Helicopters
Assuming the helicopters will work similarly to how they did in the past, once you hop into a Chopper, you’ll control it using the rear triggers to ascend and descend, while pushing the left stick forward allows for forward movement. You can also use the Boost button for a quick speed burst. Keep an eye on your fuel level, and don’t forget to refill at a gas station when needed. If you run out of fuel, you’ll plummet to the ground and likely explode upon impact. Do note that while Fortnite Choppers don’t come equipped with weapons, you can switch seats to the side railing and fire any weapons you have while the helicopter hovers for a few seconds before descending.
