Defeating Gilroy the Admin in Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist

After taking down all the initial bosses and conquering King of the Garbage Heap in Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist, you’re set to face a tough new adversary. Once you’ve tackled the previous boss, you’ll meet Gilroy, the Administrator. Right off the bat, he will accuse you of being responsible for the Rain of Death and will attempt to take you down personally.

This boss hits hard and can effectively block your attacks. To come out on top, you’ll need to think outside the box. Here’s a straightforward guide on how to defeat him with minimal hassle.

How to Defeat Gilroy, the Administrator

Attack Name	Description	Countermeasure
Double Front Slash	Gilroy performs a quick double slash. The first strike is swift, while the second comes after a slight delay and has a larger hitbox.	You can either parry the first slash using Shackled Beast’s Counter and dodge the second or dodge the first and parry the second. The latter is the recommended option.
Shield Bash	He will charge at you with his shield raised, causing an explosion upon impact.	This attack can be tricky to evade; miscalculating the timing could get you hit by the explosion. Dodge right after he charges, then counterattack.
Flame Tornado	Gilroy conjures a flame tornado in front of him.	Evade this attack and utilize the Barrage skill.
Air Slash	The boss jumps back and slashes the air, sending a slow-moving projectile your way.	Simply dodge the projectile and use your Barrage skill to close the gap.

Gilroy can be quite challenging, especially at higher difficulty levels. His health pool is substantial, and his attacks can be annoying, particularly the shield bash. He may repeat this attack frequently, so stay alert. However, the rest of his moves shouldn’t cause too much trouble.

When Gilroy uses his Air Slash, be sure to dodge and quickly move in for damage, as you’ll have an opportunity to strike.

Keep in mind that his Double Front Slash can be troublesome, as its timing can throw off your dodging. Once you defeat him, you’ll earn the Attuner Arts ability, which unlocks special moves for Attuner.
