In Dune: Awakening, searching for resources on Arrakis ranges from easy to challenging. While materials like Copper are abundant, Erythrite Crystals require a bit more effort to find. These rare gems appear in limited locations, often leading players on a hunt to discover them. Once you pinpoint their locations, though, you can gather them in substantial amounts. If you’re having trouble, this guide will help you track down Erythrite Crystals effectively.
Locating Erythrite Crystals
On Arrakis, you’ll encounter a variety of resources, such as Granite, which can be found randomly. Other materials, like Carbon, are confined to specific areas, and Erythrite Crystals fall into this latter category.
These crystals seem to exist primarily in the Hagga Rift, located just north of the Western Vermillius Gap. However, even within this region, you’ll need to search certain areas to find them.
To start your quest for Erythrite Crystals, head to the Hagga Rift where the CHOAM Mineral Extraction Facilities can be found, as these locations host the crystals. Be prepared for extensive traveling, so having a Sandbike is highly recommended.
Be cautious, as these facilities are teeming with enemies. Ensure you’re well-equipped and bring along plenty of water for your journey.
When you consult your map, some locations in Hagga Rift will display icons indicating the presence of Erythrite Crystals. If you’re not yet prepared to handle Extraction Facilities, consider exploring nearby caves; they also yield good amounts of the material.
Once you’re in the right area, spotting Erythrite Crystals is easy. They resemble Carbon rock piles but are decorated with striking pink crystals.
To collect Erythrite Crystals, you’ll need at least a Cuttereray Mk2. If you possess more advanced versions, those will work as well.
Keep in mind that as you level up Cutterays, they become more expensive to craft. Therefore, you might not be able to directly collect the crystals from the piles. However, look around the Erythrite Crystal rock formations, as you may find scattered crystals nearby.
While you’re exploring the Extraction Facilities, don’t forget to check crates and storage containers. You’ll often find Erythrite Crystals in these areas as well. Plus, these facilities respawn resources, allowing you to return and farm for more crystals in the future.
