In Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, with so many decisions and outcomes, it’s easy to feel uncertain about your choices. While there are many characters to turn to for guidance, why not seek advice from someone with vast experience—someone who has witnessed countless events over what feels like a lifetime?
Muriel is one such character. Initially, she comes off as quite cantankerous, but once you engage her in conversation, you’ll uncover invaluable insights about Avalon and the human experience during these challenging times. We’ll guide you on how to track her down!
Where to Find Muriel the Chicken in the Horns of the South
Before you can set off on your quest for wisdom, you must assist Jann Heber in the Horns of the South. He’ll provide you with a special potion as a trial, and after consuming it, your adventure begins.
At first, the potion seems ineffective, but then you’ll meet Muriel at the tower on the western side of the fort. Approach the white chicken in the rooftop garden and discover that Heber’s potion allows you to converse with chickens!
This marks the first of three encounters with Muriel, as she will move throughout Avalon as the main story unfolds. If you find and talk to her three times, you’ll earn the Oracle’s Cluck trophy/achievement.
Where to Find Muriel the Chicken in Cuanacht
In Act Two, when you arrive in Cuanacht, head to the lower section of the city near the pig pen. Just a short distance from there, you’ll spot Muriel near a crumbling wall.
Engage with her to catch up on your adventures and learn more about her. There’s plenty to discuss, so be friendly and ask any questions before you move on.
Where to Find Muriel the Chicken in the Forlorn Swords
Your last stop is Theud village in the southwestern area of the Forlorn Swords. Just outside, overlooking the ruined bridge, you’ll find Muriel waiting for you.
When you approach her for the first time, it’ll be more of a catch-up. However, the achievement for uncovering her secrets won’t activate yet. Talk to her again to access a list of questions, then inquire about her flying.
Initially, she may respond with some sarcasm, but as you persist in encouraging her to fly, you’ll trigger a cutscene that completes this hidden questline. This unlocks the trophy/achievement, and Muriel will finally take her leave from Avalon and head home.
After her departure, Muriel’s body might remain on the platform, and if you talk to her, she’ll simply say, “Bye!”
