At first glance, Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon might seem like a straightforward game without much depth. However, this assumption couldn’t be further from the truth. The game is packed with hidden secrets, from quests and locations to characters, waiting to be discovered as you navigate its various regions.
While there are numerous quests to tackle, some are cleverly concealed. It’s easy to complete the game without stumbling upon them, but don’t let their lesser rewards fool you—they’re definitely worth exploring. One intriguing quest among many is Lingering Bonds.
How to Start the Lingering Bonds Quest
Lingering Bonds is a hidden quest that starts in the northeast area of the map, near the All-Mother’s Temple fast travel point. From there, head slightly west and climb up the hill, where you’ll find a skeleton perched on the edge. Initially, you won’t be able to interact with it.
To proceed, you need to light a bonfire and wait until nightfall. Once night falls, you’ll be able to interact with the skeleton, which will transform into a ghost.
Completing the Lingering Bonds Quest
Engage in conversation with the ghost, who reveals himself as the father of Fearghas. He entrusts you with a ring that you must deliver to his son.
Now, return to the main city. Just north, you’ll find Fearghas at his outdoor office. Speak to him about the ring you’ve received. During this dialogue, you can choose to either tell him the truth about meeting his father or claim that you found the ring on a skeleton. Either choice will lead to the same outcome.
If you opt for honesty, Fearghas may be skeptical at first and ask you questions to gather more information about his father. In the end, he might not fully believe your story, but he will be grateful to receive his family ring. This will mark the completion of the quest.
