The realm of Avalon is a bleak and troubled landscape, filled with chaos and enchantment. In Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, you’ll encounter many individuals seeking your aid 600 years after the downfall of King Arthur. Yet, hidden caves and dungeons await your exploration, offering chances to uncover valuable treasures and long-buried secrets.
One notable location is the Blood Lake dungeon, notorious for its dangers. We’ll guide you in finding and conquering this dungeon to earn unique rewards and lay to rest an ancient experiment. Here’s what you need to navigate the mysteries lurking beneath the red waves.
Where To Find The Blood Lake Dungeon
Deep beneath the surface, near the back wall close to the ruined gate and village, there’s a concealed door. Take a deep breath and dive beneath the blood-stained lake to discover it. Opening this door will lead you to relative safety in the Blood Cave.
This discovery triggers the Blood Stains The Circle quest. However, if your character is low level, consider leaving and returning later.
Inside, you’ll witness horrific carnage and remnants of the fallen. In the midst of it is a man twisted by the Wyrd and unfathomable violence.
How To Defeat Mallory In The Blood Lake
Avoid talking to Mallory unless you’re prepared for battle.
As you approach, feel free to ask the skeletal figure as many questions as you wish. He dimly recalls that his name is Mallory, but he has been trapped in the Blood Cave for who knows how long, waiting for those giant doors to open.
Throughout this time, he’s defeated numerous challengers under the impression that the last one alive will unlock those doors—yet he’s still there, waiting. After your chat, Mallory requests you to try to kill him to liberate him from his suffering.
If you’re at a low level, be warned: Mallory will overpower you easily.
Battle-hardened and determined to survive, Mallory is a relentless foe. He’ll attack with his sword and use his shield to push you back. Fortunately, the Blood Cave has enough space for you to maneuver.
Aim to create distance using clusters of swords between you and Mallory. Utilize throwing knives, magic, or arrows to chip away at his health while keeping your distance.
Once Mallory is defeated, the massive doors surrounded by the fallen will open, allowing you to venture deeper into the dungeon, bringing you closer to the legendary Garden.
How To Enter The Garden
Take a moment to scavenge the tunnel and arbor for loot, as there are many ingredients for future use. When ready, inspect the base of the flowering tree.
You’ll find an opening between the roots. Crouch down and crawl through the passage to enter the sacred space of the Garden. Here, you’ll encounter several hollow druids alongside a few Marrowghasts eager to engage you.
Eliminate them and move through the ruins until you reach the far corner, where a druid named Prydwen awaits. Speak with him to discover what transpired in the Garden. Prydwen has been waiting for someone like you to come and help. Your mission is to save them all by defeating the ‘child’ of the Garden and the experiment.
How To Defeat The Blood Abomination Boss
Prydwen will provide you with a seal to open the stone door in the garden. Use the seal, and the door will ascend, allowing your entry. Prepare yourself near the blood pool, as the Blood Abomination will emerge from the chaos.
This foe is formidable, moving swiftly and calling upon Deathbound Guardians to assist her. Focus on her, as once she falls, the thralls will also perish.
Employ King Arthur’s power to slow down time to catch up with her if you’re struggling!
Dodge the fireballs she launches and do your best to close in for attacks. Watch where her body falls, as you can obtain a Blood-tainted Shell and the Cursed Bloodblade from her. This sword raises Lifesteal by two percent and emits a red glow.
Upon defeating the Blood Abomination, head back to Prydwen to complete the quest. He expresses gratitude for your assistance and can finally rest easy. You’ll receive a generous amount of experience and the Winged Spear, should you loot Prydwen’s remains.
