To finish the endgame of Monster Hunter Wilds, you’ll need to put in quite a bit of effort. Accessing all the resources and hunts requires completing side quests, such as Echoing from the Cliffs. This quest features tempered monsters that are tough, and you’ll need to battle two of them to finish it.
Your battles will take place in the icy terrain of the Iceshard Cliffs, where you will be hunting a Blangonga and a Hirabami. Since both monsters share a common weakness, you won’t have to switch weapons; however, being unprepared can send you back to camp quickly.
How to Begin the Echoing from the Cliffs Side Quest
To get started with Echoing from the Cliffs, you need to reach Hunter Rank 31 and have completed Chapters 5-3 in the story titled A Break in the Clouds. Once you meet these conditions, go to the village of Suja and talk to Apar.
You can easily recognize Apar due to her tall stature, as she is nearly twice the height of your Hunter. She carries a spear and wears a large sun hat. She will inform you about the disturbance caused by the target monsters and inquire whether you can assist. Fortunately, you can.
Talk to Alma and navigate to the Optional Quest tab, then accept Echoing from the Cliffs to begin the adventure.
How to Successfully Complete the Echoing from the Cliffs Side Quest
Completing Echoing from the Cliffs is straightforward. Just hunt the Blangonga and Hirabami by either slaying or capturing them. Once done, return to Apar in Suja to collect your rewards.
Both monsters in this quest are mainly vulnerable to fire weapons, so you can stick to your preferred fire-element weapon without needing to switch. The Iceshard Cliffs lack as many natural hazards as some other areas of the game, but you can still effectively utilize Shock and Pitfall traps, as well as engage other creatures when necessary.
Watch out for the smaller Conga monsters that accompany the Blangonga, as they can inflict minor damage that might hinder your progress. They can also block your approach to their larger leader, soaking up damage when you need to avoid it most.
