Completing Outfits in Elden Ring: Nightreign Solutions

With any FromSoftware title, players know they’re in for a challenge, intricate lore, and a combat system offering diverse build options. Yet, the real endgame focus is on fashion. You can find yourself spending more time perfecting your look than optimizing your loadout.

In Elden Ring Nightreign, the ability to customize individual armor pieces has been taken out, but each character still comes with unique outfits. There’s a good selection, although not all of them are accessible right away. Below is a guide on finding and unlocking every outfit.

How to Unlock Every Outfit

In Nightreign, each character starts with a default outfit that’s already quite stylish. Still, it’s great to switch things up, although changing outfits isn’t as easy as you’d hope. You can’t change outfits from the very beginning, even if you have Murk to buy them.

To start customizing, you need to unlock the Mirror first. This process is simple in theory but can be more challenging than it appears. To unlock the Mirror, you must defeat two Nightlords. Since you’ll need to defeat Gladius first to access all the others, you can then pick from any of the available six Nightlords. For ease, we suggest targeting Gaping Jaw, Sentient Pest, or Augur as they tend to be easier.

Once the Mirror is unlocked, the Dawn and Darkness outfits will be available for purchase. There are also three additional outfits for each Nightfarer you can unlock. The first is the Remembrance outfit, which becomes available after completing all the Remembrances for that character. The last two outfits are inspired by iconic characters from Dark Souls and can only be obtained by defeating the final boss of the game. You’ll still need to buy them after that.

Unlocking Outfits for Each Nightfarer

Currently, each Nightfarer has access to six outfits, and this number may grow in future updates or DLCs. Here’s how to unlock each outfit. Aside from the Dark Souls-themed outfits, each requires specific criteria to be met for each Nightfarer.

Wylder

Wylder’s outfits mainly differ in helmet design and color scheme.

His Dark Souls outfits include the Abysswalker, a nod to Artorias from the Dark Souls DLC, and the Lion Knight, inspired by Lion Knight Albert from Dark Souls 3.

Guardian

The Guardian’s outfits feature more substantial changes, particularly in the design of his avian head.

His Dark Souls outfits include the Sunlight Knight, linked to Solaire from Dark Souls, and Wayfarer, referencing Alva.

Ironeye

Ironeye’s outfits maintain a consistent style, although the Dawn and Darkness outfits vary in length.

His outfits pull inspiration from characters like Ringfinger Leonhard and the Sellsword from Dark Souls 2.

Recluse

Recluse presents a blend of styles, from holy maiden to wise witch.

Her outfits are inspired by characters like Karla from Dark Souls 3 and the Emerald Herald from Dark Souls 2.

Raider

Raider’s outfits are more visually striking, featuring a skull-themed helmet.

The Dark Souls outfits here represent the sturdy, beloved Havel and the famous knight of Catarina.

Executor

Executor’s outfits differ mostly in terms of color and added layers.

His Dark Souls outfits refer to characters like Kirk from Dark Souls 1 and Yuria of Londor from Dark Souls 3.

Duchess

Duchess’ outfits maintain a similar aesthetic, primarily featuring color variations and sometimes elaborate hats.

The Dark Souls outfits include the Black Leather set and the Wraith, inspired by the Darkwraiths.

Revenant

Revenant’s outfits are laden with ornamentation, fitting her somber character.

Her Dark Souls outfits include The Sister in the Painting, inspired by Sister Friede, and the Dragon School outfit.

Unlocking all these outfits, especially the ones with high Murk costs, will require considerable time investment. With potential new outfits on the horizon, you might find yourself playing for quite a while.
