Following some intense conversation from Hiruko about classmates who choose not to fight in The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, Eito suddenly disappears the next day. Everyone quickly realizes that with one of the Extinguishers missing from the Entrance Hall, he must have left the school.
Take Darumi and Takemaru with you as you embark on a quest beyond the Undying Flames to locate Eito. Gather plenty of early-game resources along the way, and prepare to rescue him from a group of fierce invaders before bringing him back to school.
How to Rescue Eito from the Invaders
Step One: Find Eito
On the morning of Day 006, head to the Cafeteria to find out that Eito has left the school due to Hiruko’s threats from the previous day. While she refuses to join your quest to find him, Darumi and Takemaru will accompany you. Meet them at the Entrance Hall and interact with the fire extinguishers to head outside.
If you haven’t experienced a board game expedition beyond the Undying Flames yet, this is the mechanic you’ll frequently use to find crucial resources, treasures, or lost characters as the story unfolds. You can also venture out during any morning Free Time segment.
Your aim in this phase is to navigate to the highlighted checkpoint on the board game map, but feel free to explore and gather resources along the way. It’s wise to avoid unnecessary battles to keep your team’s hit points (HP) up, especially since you’ll face a boss-like encounter when you reach Eito, who will be surrounded. Be ready to fight to rescue him.
Step Two: Battle
In this battle, your primary goal is to defeat all the invaders while ensuring Eito’s safety. Keep an eye on Eito’s HP in the bottom left corner of your screen, as the invaders will attack him as much as they will you. Prioritize his protection; if he gets taken down outside the Flames, you’ll have to restart the battle.
Since Eito occupies just one space on the board, it’s a good strategy to surround him. There are only four spaces from which he can be attacked, so placing your teammates around him helps minimize his chances of taking damage.
Make sure you’ve focused on upgrading your Class Weapons during your free time. Having Takumi’s strong attack, Takemaru’s upgraded prong attack, and Darumi’s ability to control the enemies charging toward Eito can greatly help. While you can get through without these upgrades, it’s always a smart idea to improve your Class Weapons before heading out.
Luckily, each fighter on your team has multi-target attacks, so try to eliminate as many enemies as possible during your turn. Keep an eye on the larger invaders, as defeating them restores one AP, allowing you to execute some impressive combos, especially with your Voltage attacks. Once all the invaders are defeated, the battle wraps up, and you’ll bring Eito back to school, earning plenty of Battle Points for your efforts.
