Paranoia can lead to significant issues, so it’s not something anyone should succumb to. In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, though, numerous characters seem deeply affected by it, often with no support in sight.
After assisting Amiable with his anxiety about sleeping in his home, you’ll encounter a woman convinced that a storm is imminent. She believes she must take precautions and requests that you find three unusual items that she claims will help her endure the storm.
This quest is part of the Shivering Isles DLC.
Initiating The Coming Storm Quest
Travel to Crucible and head to a shop located just north called Things Found. Inside, you’ll meet the owner, Ahjazda, who will speak to you about the “Coming Storm.”
During your chat, she will express her belief that a storm is about to strike, emphasizing the need for her to get ready.
This is where you step in to assist her, as she requires you to gather three items.
Collecting All Three Items for Ahjazda
Finding the Ring of Desiccation
The first item is the Ring of Desiccation, located at the Museum of Oddities, just north of her shop.
Once you arrive, you’ll meet Una Armina. You can request a tour of the museum, but it’s not required.
If you do choose to ask for the tour, she will guide you directly to the ring, which is housed in a display case on the upper floor.
Just be cautious—if she notices you taking it, it will be considered theft.
Obtaining the Calming Pants
The second item you need is the Calming Pants, which can be acquired from a beggar named Fimmion found in Bliss town.
When you approach him, he’ll confirm he has the pants, but he wants a sweetroll in exchange.
You can find a sweetroll in the kitchen area of Rendil Drarara’s House, located just north of Bliss.
Once you have a sweetroll, return to Fimmion and give it to him. He will then hand over the Calming Pants.
Acquiring the Amulet of Disintegration
The third and final item you need to collect is the Amulet of Disintegration. Head to Milchar Fort located in the northern region of the map.
Upon entering the fort, navigate to the lower level where you will come across a metal door.
Open this door and ascend the stairs to enter the Chatterhall. In this room, there will be a torch and three braziers.
You can’t pick up the torch directly, so you will need to use a Telekinesis spell to move it and light all three braziers inside the room.
Be aware that the braziers may go out after a short time, so act quickly to ignite all three.
After successfully lighting them, interact with the Diligence Crux in the center of the room to claim the Amulet of Disintegration.
Completing The Coming Storm Quest
With all three items in hand, return to Ahjazda and present her with everything.
She will be grateful for your help in preparing for ‘the Storm’ and reward you with Ahjazda’s Paranoia Greater Power.
