While some missions are straightforward, others demand more time, effort, and detective work.
For example, in Bravil, you might meet a worried woman whose husband has gone missing after becoming wrapped up in gambling. She seeks your assistance in locating him and resolving the situation.
How to Start the Caught in the Hunt Quest
First, head to Bravil and find a young woman named Ursanne Loche, who can be seen wandering around town.
Once you approach her, speak to her. She will express her concern about her husband, who has gone missing and is in need of your help.
This initiates the Caught in the Hunt quest, where your objective is to uncover the whereabouts of Aleron Loche, her husband.
How to Find Aleron
Start your search at the Lonely Suitor Lodge, where you’ll come across an Orc named Kurdan gro-Dragol. Initially, he won’t share any information about Aleron.
To get him to talk, you’ll need to improve his disposition towards you to at least 60.
Once you’ve achieved that, he’ll be willing to share what he knows, but first, you must retrieve a special axe from Fort Grief. Luckily, he will arrange a boat for you just outside the lodge to take you there.
Upon arrival on the island, you’ll notice the gate to the fort is locked. Use the handle on the right side of the gate to gain entry.
Inside, you’ll be surprised to find Aleron there as well, and you’ll discover that both of you were deceived in the same manner.
The door you entered through is now locked, leaving you with no choice but to navigate through the fort and eliminate one of the two hunters to obtain the key.
How to Complete the Caught in the Hunt Quest
Traverse through the cave while following the objective marker, which will guide you to the guard who possesses the Fort Grief Door Key.
After acquiring the key, return to Aleron, only to discover that Kurdan has already killed him, forcing you to take down Kurdan.
After avenging Aleron and defeating Kurdan, search his body for the Fort Grief Real Key to safely exit the fort.
With this key in hand, go back to the hunter’s run and use it to unlock the gate on the left side. Pull the lever to open the gate and finally leave the fort.
Sadly, you must bring the heartbreaking news to Ursanne. Return to Bravil and find her to share what happened. In gratitude, she will reward you with the Biography of the Wolf Queen, a book that enhances your Speechcraft skills.
