Cheshire Cat Mayhem: Your Ultimate Event Guide

With the Cheshire Cat now officially part of Disney Dreamlight Valley, he’s kicking off his introduction with the Cheshire Cat Chaos event. You can participate whether you’ve befriended him or not, as long as you’ve completed the realm of Alice in Wonderland and invited him to the valley.

When you log into Disney Dreamlight Valley on May 7th, 2025, check your mailbox for a letter from Merlin. He’ll inform you that the Cheshire Cat has embarked on a chaotic adventure across various realms, and he needs your help to contain the mischief. Additionally, you’ll find another general in-game letter marking the start of this event.

Cheshire Cat Chaos Event Schedule

Event Duration: Two Weeks

This event starts on May 7th, 2025, and runs until May 20th, 2025. You’ll need to complete various tasks throughout the event. However, you won’t be able to finish the event all at once since parts of it will unlock at different times. While some activities will occur in the valley, most rewards will come from cleaning up the realms the Cheshire Cat has infiltrated.

At the outset of the event, the Cheshire Cat will begin his antics in the Toy Story realm. Then, on May 11th, he’ll move to the Lion King realm, before finally appearing in the Aladdin realm on May 15th. You’ll have specific time frames to explore each realm. If you miss a task before he moves on, you’ll lose the chance for that reward.

Cheshire Cat Chaos Event Requirements

Unlock & Complete the Relevant Realms

To fully engage in this event, you’ll need to meet several requirements, which might take some time if you haven’t already completed them. First, you have to have unlocked and finished the Alice in Wonderland realm. The Cheshire Cat won’t be able to cause chaos in the valley unless he’s invited, which only happens after you’ve completed the quests for Alice in DDV. However, you don’t need to have befriended him just yet.

I began exploring the Toy Story realm before finishing his welcome quest, which still allowed me to find his paw prints there. You must, however, unlock and complete the realms he will visit: Toy Story, The Lion King, and Aladdin.

Not only do these realms need to be completed, but you also have to have officially unlocked Woody, Buzz, Simba, Nala, Jasmine, and Aladdin. While the full Lion King realm requires you to unlock Timon and Pumbaa, they are only accessible once you’ve maxed out your friendships with the initial Lion King characters, so they are not necessary for the event.

How to Take Part in the Cheshire Cat Chaos Event

Search for Paw Prints & Cheshire Cracks in the Valley

There are four unique tasks and corresponding rewards to uncover during this event, all involving one of two activities. The first is digging up purple Cheshire Cracks, which are standard digging spots with purple centers for easy identification. The second task is cleaning up Cheshire Paw Prints by watering them with a watering can. The tasks are listed in the table below:

If you’d like to monitor your progress, check the Village tab in your duties and look for the tasks that feature the Cheshire Cat’s face as their icon. Although the event provides several days to complete each realm’s tasks, you can finish them in as little as one day once they’re open.

Specifically, Cheshire Cracks appear every 15 minutes, with a maximum of five available at once. Cheshire Paw Prints emerge every 10 minutes, also capped at five at any given time. Keep in mind that the paw prints will only appear in the Disney Dreamlight Valley realm that the Cheshire Cat is currently affecting, as indicated by the paw prints on the realm door and the event schedule.

Rabbit-Themed Furniture for a Wonderland

As for what you can earn, each task rewards you with a unique Wonderland-themed furniture item. Overall, there are four pieces of furniture to collect, along with a memory of the Cheshire Cat that you can complete during the event. The rewards for each task are as follows:

Make sure to keep track of the event dates, as it can be easy to forget to return and complete the remaining tasks. If this event is anything like previous time-limited events, these items will likely be gone for good once the event ends. There’s a slight chance they could be added to Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s Premium Shop later, but it’s not something you should rely on.

Once you’ve finished all tasks, remember to claim your rewards from the duty menu in Disney Dreamlight Valley. After that, you can explore at your leisure. If you haven’t yet maxed your friendship with the Cheshire Cat, keep spending time with him to unlock more Alice in Wonderland rewards, which include additional furniture and the Uncrafting Machine.
