There’s plenty to accomplish in Planet Coaster 2, and you’ll need to be hands-on to keep everything running smoothly. While designing roller coasters and theme parks is exciting, it does take a lot of time. However, completing challenges in the campaign scenarios offers great rewards, such as unlocking new coasters!
To access these rides, you’ll need to finish scenarios and conduct research on the types of attractions you want. Let’s break down the Sky’s The Limit scenario where you’ll be tasked with creating a large park in a compact area. Here’s your guide to completing all the objectives and showcasing your engineering skills!
Sky’s The Limit Bronze Objectives
As you begin your journey in this new park, you’ll quickly realize that it’s much smaller than earlier parks you’ve worked on. This limited space is surrounded by water, but there’s always the option to build upwards.
Selecting the right rides and attractions will help you maximize the limited space while still providing thrilling coasters and flat rides. Your first task is to build and open two flat rides. You’ll also need to lay down pathways throughout the park so guests can access the rides and move around easily.
Two of the best rides to consider are Resurgence and Monsoon Chute since they’re tall but don’t require much ground space.
Be sure to add queues for each ride and think about including a priority pass queue, as these will be your main attractions for now. After you’ve opened both flat rides, it’s time to introduce your first coaster.
Opt for a compact coaster design. Working within a small area doesn’t mean you can’t include loops and unique track features; just keep in mind the cost and dimensions of your coaster. Creating a custom coaster is a great idea here. Once it’s complete, run a test to ensure it operates smoothly. Open the ride and earn your bronze badge for making strides in your mini park!
Sky’s The Limit Silver Objectives
Your park is now up and running, so it’s time to expand. Your next objectives involve building another coaster and two additional flat rides.
As before, focus on compact designs that help conserve space.
However, incorporating a variety of options will also enhance your park’s rating.
When designing your coaster, get creative with the track layout. Remember, coasters can intertwine with one another to create excitement, and you can elevate the station and add staircases to stack rides vertically.
For flat rides, consider adding The Big Wheel. It’s a classic amusement park feature that offers an impressive view. Once you’ve opened this ride alongside the other, you’ll achieve the silver objective badge.
Sky’s The Limit Gold Objectives
As you work towards the gold objectives, your task is to further expand your park. This time, you’ll need to introduce two more coasters, which will test your ability to utilize the limited space effectively.
If space is tight, consider building taller to reclaim some room!
With a total of four coasters, your next goal is to boost your park rating to three stars. Don’t forget to beautify the park to enhance guest comfort, keep the pathways and seating areas tidy, and ensure the rides are well maintained to prevent breakdowns.
Achieving this will earn you the gold badge for this scenario as you move on to the final tasks.
Sky’s The Limit Platinum Objectives
To secure the platinum badge, you’ll need to complete two main objectives: raise your park’s value and improve your park rating. Although this may take some time, with strategic planning, it’s achievable.
If you’ve taken out any loans, you’ll need to pay those off.
Increasing your park’s value means ensuring that guests see it as a worthwhile destination. Keep the rides in excellent condition, create captivating scenery, and maintain guest satisfaction. High-quality rides will significantly boost your score.
To achieve a park rating of four and a half stars, ensure that all elements contributing to your score are above three at the very least. Aim for at least two areas to reach five stars, allowing the average to settle around four and a half.
Once you’ve reached this milestone, you’ll earn the platinum badge as proof of successfully completing all challenges in this scenario!
