In partnership with global financial institutions, the newly established embedded finance unit leverages artificial intelligence and blockchain technology to offer a range of services, including foreign exchange, treasury management, and lending to clients across various divisions of Ant International.
Aligned with the G20’s goal to reduce the costs of cross-border payments through technological innovations, the unit has created a Time-Series Transformer AI model for currency exchange. This predictive tool forecasts currency requirements hourly with a remarkable accuracy of 90%, designed to aid multinational companies in the airline and e-commerce sectors in lowering their treasury management expenses.
Moreover, the blockchain settlement network now processes over a third of Ant International’s total volume with 24/7 real-time settlement capabilities.
Through ANEXT Bank, its digital banking subsidiary in Singapore, Ant International has introduced ‘bettr’, a credit service tailored for small businesses.
This service has successfully reached 11 million clients in Bangladesh and Indonesia, many of whom are first-time borrowers now able to access unsecured loans based on what the company characterizes as more precise and equitable credit assessments. In fact, the total loans managed through Ant International’s SME financing division doubled in 2024 compared to the previous year.
