What began as a joyful celebration rapidly spiraled out of control, prompting Karawan to notify authorities when the wedding venue was overtaken by unrest and disturbances, including reports of sexual misconduct.
Footage capturing the disorderly events flooded social platforms, with many users highlighting the risks associated with public wedding invitations when celebrities host them online.

Following the wedding, Karawan took to social media, tearfully addressing his followers and saying, “My happiness was shattered, everything was messed up, everything was taken from me. My car caught fire, and we got overwhelmed. I hope you’re all happy—you jinxed us!”
Adding to the turmoil, Karawan’s vehicle burst into flames during the event, igniting a wave of criticism on social media directed at those responsible.
One user expressed on X (formerly Twitter), “I dislike troublemakers, and I despise what they do. They lit fireworks and set his car ablaze on his wedding day. This is completely wrong. Is this what Egyptian youth are about?”
Prior to the wedding, the TikToker stirred controversy by claiming that celebrities such as actor Mohamed Imam and footballer Mohamed Salah would be attending.
